Walking or running — which should you choose? 🧐
Many people think walking “doesn’t count” and only running brings real results. But in reality, it depends on your body, goals, and current fitness level ☝️
Both support the heart, blood vessels, metabolism, and mood — but they work differently ✅
Walking 🚶
A low-impact option that’s gentle on the joints and suitable for almost everyone, regardless of age or fitness level. It helps lower stress, improve mood, and support weight control when done regularly. Even 30–40 minutes a day can make a noticeable difference.
Running 🏃
A more intense workout that strengthens the cardiovascular system faster and burns more calories in less time. But it requires preparation, especially for joints, ligaments, and posture. Starting too aggressively can lead to pain or injury ❗
So which one is better? 🤓
If you’re just starting, haven’t exercised in a while, or have joint concerns — start with walking. It’s not a compromise; it’s a smart beginning. If your body is ready and you want more intensity, gradually add running.
The best workout is not the one that sounds more impressive.
It’s the one you can do consistently ☝️
