At Home Health Services of North Miami, we believe every older adult deserves to age with dignity, respect, and safety. Unfortunately, millions of seniors experience abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation each year—often at the hands of someone they know and trust.

Awareness is the first step toward prevention. By staying informed, checking in on loved ones, and speaking up when something doesn’t seem right, we can help protect vulnerable older adults in our community.

If you suspect elder abuse, neglect, or exploitation, don’t stay silent. Report concerns to the Florida Abuse Hotline at 1-800-962-2873. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.

We loved the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and celebrate the incredible work being done across our healthcare community.

June is recognized as Wound Healing Awareness Month—a time to bring attention to the challenges of chronic wounds and the critical role proper nutrition plays in the healing process.

At Home Health Services of North Miami, we’re proud to support initiatives that make a real difference for patients navigating complex recovery journeys. Protein and proper nutritional support are not just recommendations—they are essential components of tissue repair, strength, and overall outcomes.

This month, the University of Miami Hospital and Clinics is leading a patient support initiative focused on providing protein bars and nutritional supplements directly to patients in need.

We were honored to be represented by Gary, who attended on behalf of HHSNM in support of this meaningful effort.
