Less than 24 hours after her CURRENT Lift, and our beautiful 79 year old patient is already feeling great!

During a recent national facial plastic surgery meeting, several surgeons told me they routinely put their patients in diapers rather than allowing bathroom breaks during surgery.

For me, patient comfort and dignity should never be an afterthought.

During my CURRENT Lift procedures under local anesthesia, I offer patients the opportunity to get up, stretch, walk around, and use the bathroom at appropriate points when all incisions are safely closed.

Another exciting milestone for The CURRENT Building!

With the structural steel complete, construction is moving into its next phase as crews continue making progress on the concrete work and bringing the building closer to completion.

I am incredibly grateful for the talented teams bringing this vision to life. From Coastal Structures, our construction team, to the architectural team at GreenbergFarrow, the collaboration, dedication, and attention to detail behind this project have been incredible.

Watching this 60,000 square foot medical office building take shape after years of planning is incredibly rewarding. I truly could not ask for a better team to bring this vision to life.

Preoperative planning for my 79 year old patient, whose biggest concern is the heaviness along her neck and jowl area.

Looking at the face as a whole, she also has more diffuse volume loss, particularly through the central cheeks. Her plan includes strategic fat grafting to restore softness and youthful volume through the midface, cheeks, and along the jawline.

We’ll also perform a full deep plane face and neck lift to release and reposition the descended tissues, along with a lip lift to address elongation of the upper lip.

A recent tragedy in Brazil has sparked an important conversation about cosmetic surgery, anesthesia, and patient safety.

For elective surgery, the question should always be: how can we minimize risk wherever possible?

That’s a major reason I perform the CURRENT Lift under local anesthesia with oral sedation. These can be long, comprehensive procedures, and my approach allows me to avoid the risks associated with prolonged general anesthesia or IV sedation.

A facelift can change your life, but it isn’t lifesaving surgery. The risk should never outweigh the benefit.

Her jawline is sharper, her neck contour is cleaner, and the upper blepharoplasty has refreshed her eye area while keeping her looking completely like herself.

At her 3 month check in, she shared that people simply tell her, “You look really good” without knowing exactly what changed. And that’s the goal: a refreshed, natural result that doesn’t announce surgery.

A little look inside my own skincare routine.

Before heading to Las Vegas for my recent meeting, I had my amazing team at CURRENT Medspa do one of my go-to treatments for skin maintenance: SkinPen microneedling.

SkinPen creates controlled microchannels in the skin to support collagen production and improve overall texture. We paired it with VAMP, a PDRN based treatment, followed by a cooling mask to help calm the skin afterward.

One of my favorite ways to keep my skin looking smooth, bright, and refreshed.
