LSVT BIG, is an intensive physical therapy program designed primarily for people with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological movement disorders.

- Goal: Make movements bigger, faster, and more purposeful—addressing small/slower movements, walking, balance, posture, and everyday activities.

- Standard program: 1-hour, one-on-one sessions 4 days/week for 4 consecutive weeks (16 sessions), plus daily home exercises.

- What you practice: Whole-body “BIG” movements plus personalized tasks such as walking, getting out of a chair, dressing, turning, or getting into bed.

- Evidence: Research has found improvements including faster walking with larger steps, balance, trunk rotation, and activities of daily living.

Both Jeannine and Lawrence are LSVT certified to better serve our patients.
