POV: You drive an HOUR to see your baby’s sweet face… and baby is face down, deep in the pelvis with ZERO fluid around their face. 😭🙈

This is why I stress PREP so much! We need fluid around baby’s face because the sound waves travel through fluid. That pocket of fluid is what helps us get clear, beautiful 3D/4D images. When baby’s face is pressed against the placenta, uterine wall, or pelvis with no fluid in front of it… there’s simply nothing for me to “see through.”

And yes… I can tell when you didn’t follow the prep instructions. 👀

It’s also why I recommend coming between 28–32 weeks, with 32 weeks being my cutoff. As baby gets bigger, there’s less room to move and it can become much harder to get that perfect little face.

Sometimes babies are just comfy and positioning is out of our control but proper hydration gives us the BEST chance at seeing those chubby cheeks! 🤍
