What an incredible day! This weekend we held our very first yoga retreat, centered around Women’s Empowerment, and my heart is overflowing with gratitude.

To each of the amazing women who chose to spend your Saturday with us, thank you. Thank you for showing up with open hearts, for sharing your stories, for supporting one another, and for embracing every part of the experience.

Together we practiced yoga both on and off the mat.

We connected to our life force and moved our bodies with intention through pranayama (breath) and asana (seat/posture), gathered in sangha (community), shared nourishing meals with mindfulness, explored svadhyaya (self-study/introspection) through our Broken Bowl Project and reflective writing, and honored the courage to live with satya (truthfulness) by sharing our authentic selves. Yoga is so much more than physical postures. It is a way of living that invites presence, compassion, courage, and connection. Watching those teachings come to life throughout the day was truly beautiful.

A special thank you to Grain and Berry for providing our delicious catered lunch. The fresh, nourishing food was the perfect complement to a day centered around wellness and connection. (I can’t believe I forgot to take a picture 😅)

This retreat reminded me that some of the most meaningful moments happen when women come together to encourage, inspire, and empower one another. I feel so honored to have shared this experience with all of you.

Thank you for making our very first retreat one I’ll never forget. I already can’t wait for the next one.

I also want to honor my teachers at Heartwood Yoga Institute. So much of this retreat was inspired by the years I spent learning from them. From the way I teach and honor the philosophy of yoga, to our Broken Bowl Project, reflective writing, and the altar that grounded our practice, their influence was woven throughout the day. Even the backjacks we sat on once belonged in their yoga room and now continue to hold space for meaningful conversations and connection.

Their teachings live on through the students they shaped and I am deeply grateful to have been one of them.

This year, we’re honored to once again be recognized as North Port’s Best Yoga Studio.

As a small, family-owned business, awards like this never stop feeling special. Not just because of the award itself, but because it represents the incredible community that has grown around Evergreen.

To every single person who has walked through our doors, thank you. Whether you’ve joined us for yoga, a massage, a workshop, a sound bath, a specialty class, meditation, or spent time on our infrared therapy mat, you’ve trusted us to be part of your wellness journey. We don’t take that lightly, and we are so incredibly grateful.

And to our AMAZING staff… there truly aren’t enough words.

Thank you for sharing your gifts, your hearts, and your passion with our community every single day. Thank you for the care you give, the relationships you build, the laughter you bring, and the way you make every person who walks into Evergreen feel welcome.
