If you would've told me a few months ago that I'd be posting a running video again... I honestly would've laughed.
At the beginning of this year, I was diagnosed with sciatica. I was told to stop running, stop lifting heavy, start physical therapy and see specialists. There were days the pain was so bad I couldn't even get out of bed. Walking from my room to the living room felt like a workout and I found myself depending on pain medicine just to get through the day.
That's when I knew something had to change.
I stopped focusing on what I couldn't do and started focusing on what I could. Every single day I made a promise to move my body—even if it was just stretching, physical therapy, or a short walk. I gave myself grace and celebrated every little win instead of comparing myself to the old me.
Little by little, I got stronger. The pain eased up, my confidence came back, and today... I'm running again. 🥹🤍
I'm sharing this because I know someone out there might be feeling stuck right now. Maybe you're going through something physically, mentally, or emotionally. Whatever it is, don't give up on yourself.
Healing takes time. Progress isn't always pretty, and it definitely isn't linear. But every small step you take matters.
This season reminded me that setbacks don't get the final say. They build you into someone stronger.
So here's your reminder: keep showing up. Keep believing in yourself. Keep choosing YOU, even on the hard days. Be that girl. The one who doesn't quit. The one who keeps going. The one who knows her comeback is going to be worth every setback. 🤍✨️
