Here’s a quick low-impact movement flow you can do at home to wake up your body, support circulation, and get your energy moving.
Do each move for 1 minute.
We’re starting with a gentle hop and step touch to warm up the legs and bring awareness into the body. Keep your core lightly engaged, shoulders relaxed, and breathe.
Next, we add the arms overhead to open the chest, shoulders, and lymph pathways. You can keep this low impact by stepping side to side instead of jumping.
Now we move into side steps with a little rotation. This helps warm up the hips, waist, and spine while keeping the movement controlled and intentional.
Then we take it into a side lunge. Sit your hips back, keep your knee tracking over your toes, and only go as low as your body feels good with today.
From there, we move into a wide squat. This is great for the glutes, inner thighs, legs, and core. Keep your chest lifted and press through your heels.
Now we add a little side-to-side movement to get the heart rate up without stressing the joints. This is a great option if you want something energizing but still gentle.
Then we bring in the arms again with overhead reaches to lengthen the body and get everything moving together.
We finish with controlled lunges and strong posture. Move slowly, stay connected to your breath, and remember, the goal is not perfection. The goal is to move your body in a way that feels supportive, strong, and doable. I use this time to thank God for what I am grateful for 🙏.
Give this 30 days and see how your body slims down, your joint pain eases, flexibility and energy increases, and your overall vitality boosts.
