Let’s talk about Cyclospora—without creating fear around food.

Cyclospora is a microscopic parasite that can contaminate food or water, especially raw produce like berries, leafy greens, fresh herbs and bagged salads.

Symptoms may include watery diarrhea, cramping, bloating, nausea, fatigue, loss of appetite and weight loss. Unlike a typical stomach bug, symptoms can last for weeks and may improve, then return.

Most healthy people will recover without medication, but hydration and close monitoring are important. Support may include:

• Water and electrolytes
• Mineral-rich broth
• Rest
• Simple, easy-to-digest foods
• Avoiding greasy foods, alcohol and anything that worsens diarrhea

Gentle options like chamomile, lemon balm, mild ginger, marshmallow root or slippery elm may help soothe the digestive system, but they have not been proven to eliminate Cyclospora.

Avoid aggressive parasite cleanses, laxative herbs or combining multiple strong antimicrobials during active diarrhea. More is not always better.

Wash produce carefully, remove damaged outer leaves, refrigerate it promptly and seek medical care for severe, persistent or worsening symptoms—especially in young children, older adults, pregnant women or anyone at higher risk.

Knowledge helps us make informed choices—not fearful ones.

Hormonal imbalance can feel like you’re living in a body that no longer feels like yours.

One month your cycle is different.
Your sleep is off.
Your mood feels unpredictable.
You’re tired, anxious, bloated, breaking out, gaining weight, losing hair, or just feeling “not like yourself.”

And so often, women are told, “Everything looks normal.”

But your symptoms are not random. Your body is communicating.

Hormones are connected to so much more than just estrogen and progesterone — they’re connected to your blood sugar, liver, gut, thyroid, adrenals, stress, minerals, sleep, and nervous system.

At Rapha Wellness & Health, I help women slow down, look deeper, and support the body as a whole.

You don’t have to keep guessing or pushing through. 🤍

Let’s talk about EBV.

So many people are walking around exhausted, foggy, inflamed, and discouraged — being told their labs look “normal” or that they just need more sleep.

But sometimes, the body is carrying a deeper burden.
Epstein-Barr Virus, also known as EBV, is something many people have been exposed to, but for some, it can become part of a bigger picture when the immune system is under stress.
It may show up as:

• Deep fatigue that rest doesn’t fix
• Brain fog
• Swollen glands
• Sore throat that comes and goes
• Body aches
• Poor sleep
• Feeling run down often
• Hormone shifts or flare patterns

And if this is you — you’re not lazy. You’re not dramatic. You’re not “just tired.”

Your body may be asking for support.
Healing often starts with listening to the body, lowering stress on the immune system, supporting drainage pathways, nourishing the nervous system, and looking at the whole person — not just one symptom.

There is hope for the person who feels like they’ve tried everything.

There is hope for the one who keeps pushing through exhaustion.

There is hope for the friend, mom, sister, spouse, or child who doesn’t feel like themselves anymore.

You are not alone. ❤️

Easy Overnight Oats 💪

This is one of my favorite quick, nourishing breakfasts because it’s simple, customizable, and full of fiber to help keep you full and support healthy digestion.

Recipe:
In each jar, add:

½ cup organic oats
½ cup milk of choice — I used organic oat milk
2–3 tablespoons yogurt
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoons chia seeds
Fresh fruit of choice

Stir everything together, place the lid on, add your fruit, and refrigerate overnight or for at least 4 hours.

By morning, the oats soften, the chia seeds help thicken everything, and you have a grab-and-go breakfast ready to eat.

Health benefits:
Oats are a great source of fiber, especially beta-glucan, which supports digestion and helps keep you satisfied. Chia seeds add extra fiber, minerals, and omega-3s. Yogurt adds creaminess and can support gut health, especially if you’re using one with live cultures. Then the fresh fruit gives natural sweetness, antioxidants, and extra nutrients.

You can make several jars at once for an easy breakfast prep for the week. Simple, healthy, and kid-friendly.

Here’s a quick low-impact movement flow you can do at home to wake up your body, support circulation, and get your energy moving.
Do each move for 1 minute.

We’re starting with a gentle hop and step touch to warm up the legs and bring awareness into the body. Keep your core lightly engaged, shoulders relaxed, and breathe.

Next, we add the arms overhead to open the chest, shoulders, and lymph pathways. You can keep this low impact by stepping side to side instead of jumping.

Now we move into side steps with a little rotation. This helps warm up the hips, waist, and spine while keeping the movement controlled and intentional.

Then we take it into a side lunge. Sit your hips back, keep your knee tracking over your toes, and only go as low as your body feels good with today.

From there, we move into a wide squat. This is great for the glutes, inner thighs, legs, and core. Keep your chest lifted and press through your heels.

Now we add a little side-to-side movement to get the heart rate up without stressing the joints. This is a great option if you want something energizing but still gentle.

Then we bring in the arms again with overhead reaches to lengthen the body and get everything moving together.

We finish with controlled lunges and strong posture. Move slowly, stay connected to your breath, and remember, the goal is not perfection. The goal is to move your body in a way that feels supportive, strong, and doable. I use this time to thank God for what I am grateful for 🙏.

Give this 30 days and see how your body slims down, your joint pain eases, flexibility and energy increases, and your overall vitality boosts.

Microneedling is one of my favorite treatments because it supports your skin’s natural healing process.

It stimulates collagen production, improves texture, softens fine lines, and can help reduce acne scarring.

But beyond aesthetics - it’s about confidence.

At Rapha Wellness & Health in North Richland Hills, we approach skincare holistically, helping your body heal from the inside out.

Microneedling service available to clients in North Richland Hills, Southlake, Bedford, Euless, Haltom City, Keller, and surrounding cities!

Your skin tells a story.

Acne.
Inflammation.
Dryness.
Premature aging.
Pigmentation.

These are often more than skin-deep.

At Rapha Wellness & Health, we believe skin health starts internally—through gut health, hormones, stress regulation, and inflammation support.

That’s why our skincare treatments are designed to support both beauty and wellness.

Healing isn’t always linear. For me, it started with my own health crisis.

There was a time when I felt exhausted, inflamed, and completely unheard. I was told everything looked “normal,” but deep down I knew my body was asking for help.
That journey is what led me into naturopathic medicine and holistic healing.

Today at Rapha Wellness & Health, I help women uncover the root cause of their symptoms- not just mask them.

Whether you’re dealing with fatigue, hormone imbalance, gut issues, or chronic stress, there is always a deeper answer.

If you’re in North Richland Hills, Southlake, Bedford, Euless, or Haltom City and ready for a more holistic approach to healing, I’d love to help.
