šŸ”„ THE BODY RECOMP ADVENTURE CONTINUES! šŸ”„

The journey isn’t over yet! šŸ’Ŗ

Currently sitting at 162 pounds—down from 189 pounds when I started this prep back in May, and down from 209 pounds a couple of years ago! 🤯

My bodybuilding coach is happy with the progress, but we’re not done. The goal? Get even leaner. Get even more peeled. Bring the absolute best package I can to competition day. šŸ†

I’ve got about 4½ weeks to go, and the goal is to drop another 9 pounds. That’s going to be a BIG push—physically, mentally, and emotionally. There are going to be hungry days, tired days, and days where the last thing I want to do is cardio… but that’s when the work matters most. šŸ”„

So I’m calling on YOU guys! šŸ‘Š

Follow along. Cheer me on. Keep me accountable. The next month is going to be a grind, and I’m going to need all the motivation I can get!

The goal is simple: show up on competition day better than I’ve ever been.

Let’s get peeled! šŸ„¶šŸ’ŖšŸ”„

5.2% BODY FAT?! šŸ˜³šŸ”„
Got my InBody scan done today and it showed 5.2% body fat! šŸ’Ŗ

Now, let’s be real — InBody scans aren’t 100% accurate, and there’s definitely a margin of error depending on hydration, glycogen, timing, and other factors.

But what I do care about is the trend. šŸ“‰

I’m continuing to lose body fat while maintaining — and maybe even adding a little — muscle mass. That tells me the prep is moving in the right direction! šŸ‘Š

And with 4½ weeks until my next show, there’s still work to do. I’m not done yet.

The goal? Get even more peeled. šŸ„¶šŸ”„

Huge thanks to the good people at Nutrishop for always helping me with my InBody scans and providing the expert nutritional guidance that keeps me moving forward!

Trust the process. Trust the body.

Tired. Hungry. Still locked in. šŸ”’

Third time at the gym today.

Started this morning with fasted cardio. Then spent the day doing what I love—taking care of patients at my sports medicine practice. After work, it was back to the gym for evening cardio.

Then straight to my daughter’s soccer game. ā¤ļøāš½ļø

Home for a very small dinner because we’re deep in calorie depletion…

…and now I’m BACK at the gym for my lift and posing practice. šŸ‹ļøā€ā™‚ļø

Am I tired? Absolutely.
Am I hungry? 100%.
Do I want to quit? Not a chance.

4½ weeks out from the NPC Texas Natural Championships.

This is where the work gets real. The motivation comes and goes, but the discipline stays.

Every cardio session. Every meal. Every workout. Every posing session.

Locked in. šŸ”’

4½ weeks to go. I’m gonna show up PEELED. šŸ„¶šŸ”„

Can you ruin a bodybuilding prep in ONE DAY?! šŸ¤”šŸ’Ŗ

Well… you can definitely set yourself back in one day. But can you completely ruin months of hard work? Absolutely not.

Since May, I’ve lost 26 pounds, going from 189 → 163 lbs.

Last week on competition day, I weighed in at 163.5 lbs. Then two days later… 175 lbs. 😳

Yep. I may have gotten a little too comfortable with the celebratory eating! šŸ˜‚šŸ”šŸ•šŸ°

But here’s the important part: I got right back to work.

I’m back in prep, back on the plan, and today I hit 163 lbs even—my lowest weight of the season! šŸ”„

So the lesson? One day can set you back, but one day doesn’t ruin your prep. What matters is getting back on track and staying consistent.

Now I’m 5 weeks out from the NPC Texas Natural Championships, and the goal is to come in even leaner, more shredded, more conditioned, and with more refined posing.

Then after that… it’s all about bringing my best shape EVER to the NPC Ben Weider National Natural Championships in mid-November. šŸ†

The work continues. The journey continues.

Keep following for the progress! šŸ’ŖšŸ”„

Competition Day āž”ļø 5 Weeks Out! šŸ’ŖšŸ”„

A little check-in comparison from competition day last week to this morning!

After Saturday’s competition, I enjoyed a few too many comfortable carbs šŸ˜‚ and saw the scale jump 11 pounds. But since then, I’ve already shed 9 of those pounds and I’m right back to work!

Now the goal is simple: come into the NPC Texas Natural Championships even more shredded, even more conditioned, and with my posing more refined.

Five weeks to sharpen the package. Five weeks to improve. Five weeks to prove that the work never stops. šŸ‘Š

Keep following the journey! The next stage is coming. šŸ”„

Bodybuilding may be an individual sport, but you absolutely cannot do it alone. šŸ’Ŗ

I’m incredibly thankful for my family and friends who support me—not just on show day, but throughout the entire prep.

They put up with my absence while I’m tirelessly training and doing cardio. They deal with my obnoxious dieting, my strict schedule, and the fact that I can’t always go out, socialize, or participate in things the way I normally would.

The truth is, they’re part of the sacrifice too.

They make adjustments. They understand when I have to say no. They encourage me when I’m tired, frustrated, or questioning whether all the work is worth it. And they’re there to celebrate with me when I finally step on stage.

I may be the one standing under the lights, but there are a LOT of people behind me who helped me get there.

To my family and friends: thank you. I appreciate you more than you know. ā¤ļø

The journey is mine—but I couldn’t do it without you.

What did I eat after my bodybuilding competition?

We went to Sauce’d Pizza & Smashburgers in Grapevine for the most AMAZING burgers and pizza!

I had the the jalapeƱo jack burger, which had two double smashed burgers with onion, pepper jack cheese, grilled jalapeƱos, and dadā€˜s burger sauce. We additionally got a half-and-half pizza of Uncle Bradā€˜s pie, which is sauce, mozzarella, double curl n’ crisp pepperoni, and double mushroom. The other half was the Brooklyn, which has sauce, mozzarella, curl n’ crisp pepperoni, whipped hot, honey ricotta, and fresh basil.

All of this food was absolutely amazing, totally hit the spot! I can’t recommend this place enough for both burgers and pizza, but notably the burgers are the best I’ve had!
