With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved friend and devoted volunteer, Sr. Emilie Duchaney, FMM.
For more than two decades, Sr. Emilie was a cherished part of the Saint Antoine Community family. While she came to us on a mission of pastoral care, she quickly became so much more. She was a comforting presence, a trusted friend, a compassionate listener, and a source of unwavering kindness for our residents, families, volunteers, and staff.
Her joyful spirit, gentle smile, and selfless heart brightened countless days. Whether she was sitting beside a resident, offering a prayer, sharing a laugh, or simply holding someone's hand, Sr. Emilie had a remarkable gift for making every person feel seen, valued, and loved.
She lived her Franciscan vocation each and every day, giving of herself generously without ever seeking recognition. Her life was a beautiful example of compassion, humility, and service, and the impact she made within our community will continue to be felt for years to come.
Today, our halls feel a little quieter, and our hearts a little heavier. While we grieve her loss, we are profoundly grateful for the many blessings she shared with all of us. We will forever remember her warmth, her faith, her laughter, and the extraordinary love she poured into the lives of others.
Rest peacefully, Sr. Emilie. Thank you for your faithful service, your compassionate heart, and for showing us what it truly means to love one another. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Please join us in keeping the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary and Sr. Emilie's family and friends in your prayers during this difficult time 💙
