Contacts: summer safety tips 🌊
Water (pools, lakes, even the shower) can carry organisms like Acanthamoeba, which can stick to your lenses and cause a serious eye infection.
Always use clean hands when putting in and taking out your contacts. And keep an eye out for expired lenses and prescriptions.
It is important to remember to swap contacts for glasses before you swim, shower, and before you sleep. Your eyes will thank you later.
Don’t forget your cool summer shades! 😎 (Always call your eyecare provider ASAP if you have any eye pain, redness, or discharge!)
