It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Grace M. Aich, aged 86, who left us on August 3, 2026. Born on October 5, 1939, in Madison, Indiana, Grace was a beloved mother and dedicated worker, spending over twenty years in dietary at Muscatatuck State Developmental Center. Her warm-hearted nature and nurturing spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

Grace was proud of her accomplishments and found joy in her hobbies. She loved working on crossword puzzles, cross-stitching, and crocheting in her downtime. Many afternoons were spent cheering on her favorite contestants while watching "Wheel of Fortune,".

Grace is survived by her three daughters, Julia (Tracey) Garrell of Lexington, Mary Beth Aich of Bloomington, and Cassie Sabelhaus of North Vernon, who carry on her legacy of love and kindness. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren, Wanda, BJ, Jasmine, Tray, Naythen, Angelica, Destiny, Byron, Kevin, Vanessa, and Dakoda; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 8, at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. James Aich will officiate. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Madison.

Friederike Anna Foster

It is with heavy but grateful hearts that we announce the passing of Friederike Anna Foster, our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She left us peacefully on July 31, 2026 at the age of 92.

Friederike was born in Muschau (MuĊĦov), Czech Republic, and after a long journey through Vienna and Karlsruhe, she made her home in North Tustin, California for over 50 years. Later in life she settled in North Vernon, Indiana, where she spent her final days surrounded by love.

Friederike had a true passion for painting. Her hands were almost always creating - with a paintbrush. But her greatest masterpiece was her home. She was a true homemaker at heart, known for her warmth, creativity, and the quiet, steady way she cared for her family. Music would play, there was always something beautiful being made, and everyone who walked through her door felt nurtured.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Walter Foster Jr., who passed 7 years ago. We take comfort in knowing they are together again. Per her wishes, Friederike will be cremated and her ashes scattered in the Pacific Ocean beside Walter.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Johann and Aloisa, sisters Mitzi and Erna, granddaughters Jordyn and Jaydyn, and great-grandson Sammy.

Friederike leaves behind her sons, Ernst Neulinger and Chris Foster, her daughter Susanna Crane, daughter-in-law, Jenny Foster, and son-in-law, Enoch Crane, and her cherished grandchildren Savanna, Samuel, Manuela, and Jonas, and great-grandchild Eliza. She also leaves behind her step grandchildren Jesse, Hunter, Jarrett, Jeff, and Aron, and her step great-grandchildren Barry, Isaiah, Naomi, Sophie, and Asher, who will carry her spirit, her creativity, and her love in their hearts forever.

Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Rest in peace, Friederike. You filled our lives with color, with music, and with love. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
