I’m gonna be honest with you 👉some things you’re doing are making your back pain worse. 😳

❌Sitting for 3 hours without moving (my drives to NY always remind me how important this is!)
❌Thinking stretching alone will fix it. (You need a balance of mobility and strength.. not one without the other)
❌Waiting for it to go away on its own
❌Assuming this is just what getting older means

None of this is your fault.. but now you know.

Everyday I hear GenX women say their medical doctor wants them to walk more, but when they do, they have horrible back and hip pain.

😒So they just don’t.

If you want to see results (be able to play with your grandkids, travel, walk the beach… get up from the ground..) you have to do the work.

I am with you…sometimes it’s hard to stay on track with your workouts when you don’t know what to do.

That’s why I’ve created the Move Better App.

Full body programming that is intentional, efficient built for real results to keep your body moving well and feeling strong and healthy.

These are exercises from workout A 3’sets of 8 for each exercise: Rows; pushups; goblet squats; hip extension on ball; suitcase carry; post workout stretches to aide recovery. (I forgot to film the warm up 🤦‍♀️)

I don’t know about you, but I do much better when I am held accountable and follow a program. Amiright? 😜

Are you frustrated because your physician will only address one physical complaint at a time?

I get it. It can take time to connect the dots.

📖For the last 15 years I’ve been learning how to connect the dots. Turns out your hip and back pain COULD be connected to your foot and shoulder pain:

🦶Your big toe is stiff, which limits your ability to push of when you walk; you develop decreased hip extension; your glutes decide they are lazy; your back takes the brunt; and your opposite arm stops moving they way it needs to…. And there’s the connection.

Now, how to manage, and what’s best for you… is the next step.

🚨When you are injured, it’s normal to want to want to know why.

But just because imaging may show “something” going on (disc, meniscus, labrum..etc), it doesn’t mean your treatment in PT will change.

We look at what is missing from your movement and what needs improvement, and build your plan from there.

Not every low back pain presents the same way… and not every diagnosis gets the same treatment.

I KNOW it’s super frustrating when you are going through the process, and just want to feel better right away.

But when you respect the process and take the time you need to recover, the sky will be the limit 🌟

Healing doesn’t always look dramatic.

Sometimes it looks like…

✨ choosing the walk instead of the couch
✨ doing the mobility work when nobody’s watching
✨ backing off before your body forces you to
✨ strengthening the areas you used to ignore
✨ trusting that small steps still count

At 20, we often push through.

At 40, 50, and beyond… we learn something even more powerful:

Healing isn’t weakness.
Healing is training for the long game.

That’s what LTT means to me:

💜 Love your body enough to listen.
💜 Transform through consistent action.
💜 Triumph one step at a time.

If you have been doing the same thing over and over, and you’re still not finding relief, maybe you need to change it up.

If you stretch ALL THE TIME.. maybe you need strength. If you do HIIT workouts A LOT or only strength and cardio workouts, maybe you need yoga or more quieting exercise.

I took time after my workout this morning to do some restorative yoga because I’ve been on the go all week. My body felt a ton better and I was better able to handle the stressors of a really long day.

Listen to your body. If one thing isn’t working, try something different.

And most of all, don’t give up. Keep working to find what makes you feel and move better.
