We made our own EETs!

Our kids loved stringing colorful beads onto pipe cleaners to create their own Expanding Expression Tools (EETs) and then using them to describe school supplies—perfect for our back-to-school theme!

We love our social groups! Activities like this give us so many natural opportunities to work on describing, vocabulary, language organization, following directions, turn-taking, conversation skills, and more—all while connecting with peers and building friendships. 🫶

Learning is always more meaningful when we can make it fun, hands-on, and social!

Back to School Week!

We had so much fun learning, moving, and playing our way through back-to-school week! From a school bus craft and circle map, to a lunch bag obstacle course and plenty of free play, every activity gave us opportunities to build important skills while having FUN!

One of our favorite parts is seeing OT and Speech work together to create the best possible environment and supports for each child. By combining communication, sensory, motor, and play-based strategies, we can help our kids feel successful, confident, and ready to learn!

Orange Food Day was a delicious success!

Today our friends explored a variety of orange foods through tasting, learning, and hands-on fun! From crunchy carrots and cheesy snacks to juicy oranges, peaches, and sweet peppers, everyone had the chance to try something new while completing their Orange Foods activity.

Exploring foods by color is a great way to encourage adventurous eating, build vocabulary, and learn about healthy choices. Orange fruits and vegetables are packed with vitamins that help keep our eyes healthy, our immune systems strong, and our bodies growing!

We’re so proud of our little taste testers for being brave, curious, and willing to give new foods a try!

Camping week was a huge hit in our social groups! We had so much fun making microwave s’mores, building forts and tents, creating campfire crafts, and practicing social skills every step of the way.

From working together to build the perfect fort to taking turns, problem-solving, following directions, and engaging in conversations, our campers were learning while having a blast. We love creating activities that encourage connection, creativity, and confidence—all while making memories!

Red Food Week was a success!

Who wouldn’t want strawberry Pop-Tarts?!

This week we explored all things RED while building confidence with food through play, conversation, and tasting. Our menu included:
🍓 Strawberries
🍉 Watermelon
🍒 Cherries

Our feeding sessions were full of sunshine today as we explored a variety of yellow and white foods! (with just one little pop of red from the ketchup).

Trying foods of the same color is a fun way to encourage exploration while reducing the pressure that can come with trying something new. We talked about colors, textures, smells, and tastes while practicing flexibility, confidence, and positive mealtime experiences.

Every tiny taste, touch, smell, or even looking at a new food is a step forward—and we love celebrating every victory!

Today we explored all things GREEN!

Trying new foods isn’t just about taking a bite—it’s about learning through play, exploring with all of our senses, and building confidence along the way. During today’s feeding group, we looked, smelled, touched, and (for those who were ready!) tasted a variety of green foods.

From crunchy cucumbers to sweet kiwi and creamy avocado, every interaction with a new food is a step toward expanding a child’s food repertoire.

We celebrate all victories, whether it was touching a new food, taking a tiny lick, or enjoying a big bite. Every child progresses at their own pace, and we’re so proud of the bravery they showed today!
