Amazing results from our 68 year old patient. She had fillers for so many years but it made her expression worse.

Her main concern? "I look way tired and mean!"

She had a brow ptosis where the space between eye brow and upper eyelash became shorter. Her upper lid skin was touching the eyelash where you cannot see her upper eye crease. Notice that the fillers under the eye stretched the muscle now she has prominent ‘tear trough ‘. This is also called as a prominent naso jugal line ( different from naso labial fold which indicates smile line).

As a matter of fact her naso labial fold has gotten deeper and her marionette line next to the corner of her mouth got deeper.

Interestingly note her chin, she has a fold above the chin that makes the chin short. Also, her lower lip had a two bulging circle under neath making a lower lip to look heavy ( dumbbells below lower lip or above the chin).

When Dr. Michael Byun meets one of his patients for the first time, he takes his time to listen to their concerns and watch closely to observe the subtle nuances of their unique facial features.

Dr. Byun was named a “Facelift Guru” in Chicago magazine’s November 2020 issue. He specializes in doing what he calls a “reverse facelift.” “Rather than pulling tissues away from the face, I position them back into the mid-line area and then up,” says the surgeon.

“While traditional facelift techniques tend to make the aging face appear wider, my focus is on making the face smaller as I place components of tissue to be repositioned directly north. The result is a more vibrant-looking face, which is what we focus on achieving.”
