Honored to be in Boston this week for the annual The Rhinoplasty Society meeting and the The Aesthetic Society annual meeting alongside some of the best minds in facial plastic surgery.

Most people think there’s a magic age for a facelift and truthfully, there isn’t.

The right time has nothing to do with hitting a number and everything to do with what’s happening structurally in your face. Some patients in their 40s have significant laxity and volume loss. Some in their 60s are barely there yet.

What we’re actually looking at: how much the soft tissue has descended, whether the skin still has elasticity to respond well to lifting, and what the underlying bone structure can support.

Waiting too long can have real consequences. Once the skin loses its ability to redrape well, the results become harder to achieve and harder to make look natural.
The best facelift is often the one done before you feel like you need it.
