Coping Skill of the Day!
🧠 CHANGE THE THOUGHT, CHANGE THE STORY
One of the core skills in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is called reframing.
Reframing doesn’t mean lying to yourself.
It means changing the way you interpret a situation.
Try these shifts:
❌ I failed.
✅ I learned something.
❌ I have to do this.
✅ I get to do this.
❌ I can’t do it.
✅ I can take the first step.
❌ This is a disaster.
✅ This is difficult.
❌ I’m not good at this.
✅ I’m still learning.
❌ I made a mistake.
✅ I gained experience.
❌ Nothing ever works out.
✅ This didn’t work out the way I hoped.
The goal isn’t to force a positive thought.
The goal is to find a thought that is:
✨ More balanced
✨ More realistic
✨ More helpful
Because the words we use shape the stories we tell ourselves—and those stories shape how we feel.
What thought could you reframe today?
