Love Grows Love Animal Assisted Learning

Love Grows Love Animal Assisted Learning Our Mission: On the farm, we promote partnering with God and creation for self-discovery in being all God has called us to be.

Our Core Values: Everyone has choices, deserves respect, and is loved by God. Located in Norwalk Ohio Love Grows Love is a non-profit organization that promotes partnering with God and creation for self-discovery in developing teens as leaders through strength-based learning. In a farm-style environment we offer purposeful, guided animal assisted learning and farm-activity experiences. Participant

s can increase self-awareness and life application in these concepts: respect, responsibility, relationship skills, empathy, boundaries, choices/outcomes while having fun learning about themselves, their strengths and others. Currently Love Grows Love has a variety of equine partners including full-sized horses, miniatures, and a darling mule as well as dogs and cats. In the future, we plan to add chickens and goats. There will be other on-the-farm experiences like learning to compost and gardening for experiential learning. We work to help Huron county be a thriving, positive place to live by building connections to faith, family, and community in a challenging and encouraging environment. Though new to the Norwalk area, Love Grows Love is partnering, connecting, and working with other organizations that have many years of experience working with animal assisted learning. Key partners and organizations include:
-Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch
-E3A Equine experiential education
-Ginny Telego, The Collaboration Partners Ashland Ohio

Love Grows Love is led by a board of directors: Donna Hammann, Denny Cutnaw, Mollie Riley, and Marilyn Kamm

Our Vision: Seeing people engaging in the adventure of life with God. Our Mission: On the farm, we promote partnering with God and creation for self discovery in being all God has called us to be. We are so thankful for the blessings of our supporters throughout the community. Many hours and donations have made Love Grows Love a reality.

What a month this has been! We have enjoyed teens, adults, families, school groups, and corporations in our programs and welcomed Sky to the farm to see if he is a fit for EAL and our herd!

What a wonderful day at our first Wild Ohio School Day — Paws, Wings, & Wild Things! 🌿🐾🦋

From meeting Topy and Ralphie to exploring the world of insects and planting seeds to take home, the day was filled with curiosity, learning, and lots of smiles. Watching the kids engage with nature, ask questions, and make connections was such a blessing.

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make the day so special. We loved sharing the wonder of God’s creation together! 💚

Adopted Into God’s Family

A common theme that has continued to appear recently is that of adoption, foster care, and the reminder that family is not defined only by blood relationships. Sometimes family looks like friends who become as close as siblings, loving another person’s child as your own, or welcoming someone into your life with open arms and an open heart.

This week at the farm, that lesson has been beautifully reflected through welcoming Sky. Sky has generously been offered to Love Grows Love on a trial basis to see if he enjoys partnering with people and can successfully integrate into our herd. One of the most important parts of this process is the integration itself because our herd must, in a sense, adopt him into their already established family.

Gideon, Bentley, and Kiara already have their own relationships, roles, and herd dynamics. Adding another horse means that not only must Sky learn to adjust to the herd, but the herd must also choose to accept him as one of their own. There will be moments of learning, boundaries, patience, and adjustment as they discover how to live together in harmony.

What a beautiful reminder of the way God welcomes us.

The Bible tells us that we are adopted into God’s Kingdom. We are welcomed not because of where we came from, but because of His love for us. In Ephesians 1:5 it says “God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.” May we all be filled with grace, patience, kindness, and love as we meet others and welcome them into our lives.

Here at Love Grows Love, our desire is to create a welcoming atmosphere for all who come, because we are all called to be children of God.

*We welcome you to join us in prayer that our herd does accept Sky as one of their own, and that he will join us permanently to help create meaningful experiences here at the farm.
