🌸 I can FINALLY share what I’ve been working on… 🌸
If you've followed me for a while, you probably know that birth is so much more than a job to me.
It's deeply personal.
I've had four babies and four very different journeys into motherhood. After three cesareans, I spent my final pregnancy preparing for something I had been told, directly and indirectly, that my body wasn't capable of doing.
A vaginal birth after three cesareans.
There was SO much noise.
Risks. Opinions. Policies. Other people's fears. Things I had been told about my body and birth that I had accepted as truth for years.
And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I had to learn how to separate fear from fact. You'd think being a doula that would be easier! đź¤
I learned to allow myself to ask questions.
I learned my options.
I learned that God would place people around me who truly supported me.
But more than anything...
I learned to surrender everything to God, and trust His plan was good... because He is good all the time!
I prayed. A lot.
I had to continually remind myself that I could prepare, research, ask questions, advocate for myself, and make informed decisions...
but ultimately, I was not in control.
He was. And, oh, how thankful I am for that.
In March, I welcomed my fourth baby at home, in the water, after three previous cesareans, surrounded by an incredible birth team.
Through that birth I was transformed.
Not because I believe there's one “right” way to give birth. There isn't.
It changed me because for the first time, I experienced what it felt like to walk into birth feeling informed, supported, peaceful, and deeply rooted in my faith.
And THAT is the heart behind what I'm sharing today.
Over the years, I've supported so many mamas who are scared of birth.
Mamas drowning in Google searches.
Mamas who leave appointments with more questions than they walked in with.
Mamas who don't know what they can say no to, what they can ask for, or even the simple fact that they can change providers.
It is heartbreaking how many women planning VBACs have been made to feel like they're reckless simply for wanting to explore their options.
And I kept thinking...
There has to be a better way to prepare women for birth.
Not by promising them a particular outcome.
Not by telling them what choices they should make.
But by giving them the tools to learn, ask questions, process their fears, understand their options, and prepare their hearts while continually pointing them back to the One who is ultimately holding them and their babies.
And so... I made what I wish I'd had for my births. 🥹
A place to come back to the facts of physiologic birth, to journal to yourself and your baby, write prayers, read Scripture, paste keepsake photos... It's something to be treasured for years to come.
Today I am introducing:
🌿 The Faith-Filled Mama Library 🌿
Beginning with two workbooks very close to my heart:
♡ My Faith-Filled Birth
♡ My Faith-Filled VBAC
These are not books you simply read and put back on a shelf.
They're meant to be written in. Prayed through. Highlighted. Cried over. Brought to appointments. Revisited.
Inside, we're going to talk about birth.
The evidence. Your options. Comfort measures. Birth preferences. Provider conversations. Fears. Expectations. Previous experiences.
But we're also going to give your heart a way to speak.
We're going to pray.
We're going to sit with Scripture.
We're going to make space for the things you're afraid to say out loud.
And we're going to continually come back to this:
You can prepare deeply without carrying the impossible burden of controlling your birth.
You can be informed AND surrendered.
You can advocate for yourself AND trust God.
You can have preferences AND hold them with open hands.
And through every twist and turn...
He is there.
Today, I'm opening the Founding Mama Presale for both workbooks. 🌸
They're available as a digital edition or as a beautiful spiral-bound keepsake—something I specifically wanted because I can picture these books filled with prayers, notes, thoughts, and memories and tucked away with baby's things years from now.
And I have some really special gifts for the mamas who choose to be part of this from the very beginning. ♡
I have poured so much of my heart into these pages.
My experience as a doula.
My own births.
My VBAC journey.
My faith.
And so much of what I wish someone had sat down and told me years ago.
I cannot quite believe I'm typing this, but...
The Faith-Filled Mama Library is officially open. 🥹
If you're preparing to welcome a baby, I would be honored to walk alongside you through these pages. ♡
And if there's a pregnant mama in your life who needs this kind of support, please share it with her. It would also make such a meaningful gift for a mama preparing to welcome her little one.
