Continuing our 👻 series, meet Suzanna from Brightview Senior Living Great Falls.

For Suzanna, getting older isn’t about starting a new chapter. It’s about continuing the life she’s always loved: staying active, getting outside, and keeping moving. ☀️🚶‍♀️

There’s nothing spooky about getting older. Just ask Joyce! 💙

At 100 years old, this Brightview Senior Living Woodburn resident knows a thing or two about making the most of each day. She credits daily exercise, a good attitude, and even a nightly glass of w**e, proving that after all. 🍷👻

There’s so much more to active aging than staying busy. 💙

It’s about continuing to do the things that make life feel full, whether that’s moving your body, spending time with people you enjoy, trying something new, or staying curious about what’s next.

At Brightview, those moments happen every day in all kinds of ways. That’s why this , we’re celebrating the joy of staying connected, engaged, and open to everything life has to offer.

September gave us some pretty incredible reasons to celebrate. 💙🎂

Greg at Brightview Senior Living Wakefield and Joe at Brightview Senior Living Greentree each celebrated their 100th birthdays, while Betty at Brightview Senior Living Catonsville turned 103. At Brightview Senior Living New Canaan, another resident also reached the century mark.

Joe’s celebration was made even more special with a visit from Senator Tiver, who honored both his 100th birthday and his service during World War II.

So many years, stories and memories worth celebrating. 🎉 Happy Birthday to each of these residents!

Meaningful connection and moments of joy can make a real difference for people living with Alzheimer's and dementia.

That was the heart of Brightview's first "Wellspring by the Water," where residents from 13 Maryland memory care communities gathered at Sandy Point State Park for an afternoon of music, food and fun on the water.

We can't wait to do it again next year! 💜

Fall has officially arrived at Brightview! 🍎🍂

From farm visits and flower bars to seasonal crafts and plenty of fall treats, our communities are making the most of the season so far. Brightview President & CEO Doug Dollenberg also got in on the fun, mixing up Caramel Apple Martinis for residents at Brightview Senior Living Annapolis.

A little festive, a little sweet, and a very good way to welcome fall. 💙

What an unforgettable afternoon! We were thrilled to welcome Fifth N Main to our community, and what a gift they gave our residents. Our pub was absolutely rocking with the sounds of classic Rock ‘n’ Roll and the Blues, filling the room with music, laughter, and memories.

The energy was contagious, and the performance had everyone smiling from the first song to the last. In fact, it was all our residents could talk about over dinner!

A heartfelt thank you to Fifth N Main for generously volunteering your time and talent. You made a lasting impact on our community, and we can’t wait to welcome you back again!

Our Residents enjoyed another colorful and delicious edition of Taste the Rainbow this month with Reiki and Wellness Coach Taylor Priefe. Together, we explored the many health benefits of yellow foods. A heartfelt thank you to our Dining Service Director Vicente for preparing a wonderful selection of nourishing yellow-inspired dishes that were delicious. Learning, laughter, and healthy living are always on the menu at Brightview!

Some afternoons become memories that our residents will talk about for a long time, and today’s Battle of the Badges was certainly one of them!

A heartfelt thank you to the Norwalk Police Department and the Norwalk Fire Department for spending your afternoon with our community. Your kindness, laughter, friendly competition, and willingness to connect with our residents meant far more than you know.

The grills were hot, the competition was fierce, and our judges had the very important task of crowning the Best Burger. Congratulations to the Norwalk Fire Department. But if you ask our residents, everyone was a winner because every burger was made with heart.

More than anything, today reminded us that the people who protect and serve our community also know how to bring people together. Thank you for your service, your generosity, and for creating an afternoon filled with smiles, conversation, and unforgettable memories. We are so grateful to call you our friends and community partners. Norwalk, CT Police Department Norwalk Fire Department Norwalk, Connecticut Fire Marshal's Division

In honor of National Disability Pride Month, we were privileged to welcome author Mary Keating to our Poetry Class to share her beautiful new book, Recalibrating Gravity: A Memoir in Verse. Mary graciously shared her personal journey to becoming a poet, read selections from her memoir, and reminded us that our stories—and the courage to tell them—have the power to inspire others.

The afternoon became even more meaningful when Juliet, the daughter of two of our residents, joined us to lead creative poetry exercises that encouraged everyone to put pen to paper and discover new ways to express themselves. It was a wonderful celebration of resilience, creativity, and the reminder that there is never an age or season in life when we stop finding our voice. Thank you, Mary and Juliet, for sharing your gifts and inspiring our community.

One hundred years of creativity, kindness, and a life beautifully lived.

Our Brightview family was honored to celebrate our beloved Teddy’s 100th birthday, surrounded by her loving family, friends, residents, and associates. It was a truly unforgettable day as Senator Bob Duff, Senate Majority Leader and Mayor Barbara Smyth presented Teddy with a Birthday Proclamation on behalf of the City of Norwalk, recognizing a century of a life well lived.

The celebration continued with a special summer performance by Connecticut State Naugatuck Valley College, talented students filled the room with music for a woman whose love of the arts has inspired so many.

A gifted watercolor artist, she graciously donated her treasured collection of original paintings to our Art With A Purpose fundraiser, helping raise funds in the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease.

Happy 100th Birthday, Teddy! We celebrate you today and every day, and we are incredibly grateful to share this journey with you. Here’s to a century of making the world a more beautiful place. Nancy Ritze Forever Sweet Bakery CT State Naugatuck Valley Music Society Gil Harel
