Created in partnership with Dalio Education, the program was designed to help prepare young people for meaningful careers in healthcare through hands-on learning, mentorship and career development opportunities.

Thanks to a generous grant from Dalio Education, and The McChord Foundation, as well as Domus who recruited candidates and supported them throughout their journey. These graduates are taking the next step toward making a difference in the communities they’ll serve. 💙

You probably wouldn’t think brushing your teeth could help protect your brain… but stroke prevention starts in more places than most people realize. 🧠🪥

Dr. Paul Wright shares 5 everyday habits that can make a meaningful difference when it comes to lowering stroke risk:

🦷 Keeping up with oral health
😴 Getting quality sleep
👥 Staying socially connected
🥗 Eating foods that fuel your body
🫀 Paying attention to risk factors like blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes

Stroke prevention is not always about dramatic changes. Sometimes it’s the simple, consistent things we do every day that matter most.

Watch Dr. Wright explain why these habits are more connected to brain health than you may think.

High blood pressure is often called the “silent” risk factor, and when it comes to stroke, silence can be dangerous. ❤️🧠

Michele Lecardo, our stroke program coordinator at Norwalk Hospital, is sharing why hypertension matters more than many people realize.

Over time, high blood pressure can quietly damage blood vessels and increase the risk of a stroke without obvious symptoms or warning signs. Many people feel completely fine until something changes.

That is why knowing your numbers matters. A blood pressure check today could be more than a routine appointment. It could be prevention.

This Stroke Awareness Month, take a moment to check in with yourself, schedule that appointment you have been putting off or encourage someone you love to do the same. 💙

During EMS Week, we witnessed a moment none of us will forget. 🚑❤️

Earlier this year, Brian Brown experienced a sudden cardiac arrest and heart attack at home. In the moments that followed, dispatchers, EMS, fire, police and hospital teams came together, making split-second decisions that helped save his life.

This week at Norwalk Hospital, Brian returned, not as a patient, but as a husband, a survivor and a living reminder of what happens when an entire community answers the call.

Standing face to face with the people who helped give him a second chance was a powerful reminder that emergency care is more than a response...

It is teamwork. It is trust. It is humanity in action.

Brian’s story is a reminder that behind every emergency call is a person, a family and a future worth fighting for. During EMS Week, we celebrate the teams who helped make his future possible. ❤️‍🩹
