Morning Anxiety 🤍

If you wake up and immediately feel that familiar rush of anxiety, remind yourself that you don’t have to begin your day in high alert.

Our minds can wake up already thinking about everything we need to do, everything that could go wrong, or everything we were carrying yesterday. Before allowing your thoughts to take over, take a moment to come back into your body and into the present.

Before looking at your phone. Place your feet on the floor. Take a slow, deep breath. Feel the support beneath you and remind yourself:

✨ “I am awake. I am safe. I do not need to immediately go into high alert.”

Then ground yourself with this simple affirmation:

🌿 “I am here. I am safe. I am grounded. I release what is not mine, and I return fully to my own energy.”

You don’t have to figure out your entire day the moment you open your eyes.

Give yourself permission to wake up slowly.
Breathe before you react.
Ground before you rush.

✨ Why I Recommend The Heart of the Soul to My Reiki Clients ✨

One of the books I often recommend to my Reiki clients is The Heart of the Soul: Emotional Awareness by Gary Zukav and Linda Francis.

Reiki isn’t only about what happens during a session. Sometimes the most meaningful part of healing happens after you leave the table—when you begin noticing your emotions, your patterns, your reactions, and the places within you that are asking for your attention.

This book is a beautiful companion to that process. 🤍

It encourages you to become more aware of your emotions without judging them, and to recognize that your feelings can offer insight into what is happening within you.

I love recommending it because Reiki can help create space for awareness, but awareness is where our own inner work begins.

After your Reiki session, you’ll be invited to rest your feet on a warm Himalayan salt dome to help complete the healing process. The gentle warmth of the salt promotes deep relaxation, soothes tired muscles, and encourages the release of any residual stagnant energy. In Reiki, practitioners often “close the soles” of the feet at the end of a session to help secure the aura, ground the body’s energy, and ensure any excess or incompatible energy is safely released.
