We're proud to announce a transformative new partnership between the Buck Institute and Dr. Vonda Wright MD, MS.

Together, we've launched Move the Mountain™, a bold campaign to raise $79 million to accelerate women's healthy aging research and establish The Vonda Wright Women's Health Foundation at the Buck Institute.

By investing in groundbreaking science, we're working to close critical gaps in women's health research and create a healthier future for women everywhere.

At the Buck Institute's Clinical Research Unit (CRU), our participants are at the heart of everything we do!

We were honored to host a Participant Appreciation Reception celebrating the incredible individuals who have contributed to six of our active and completed research studies. The afternoon brought together participants, investigators, research staff, and community members to celebrate study milestones, share progress updates, and recognize the vital role participants play in advancing health and aging research.

We are deeply grateful to every participant, family member, investigator, and staff member who joined us. Your dedication and partnership are helping advance aging research that aims to improve healthspan and quality of life for future generations.

Take a look through some of our favorite moments from the event in the photos below! If you attended, we'd love to hear what your favorite part of the evening was.

Missed the event or want to revisit the presentations? A recording of the Participant Appreciation Reception is now available on the Buck Institute's YouTube channel. https://youtu.be/cZYOWYJ-1QQ?si=YWi_V3pAIxAKj8AB

Our research can’t happen without our community. Yesterday The Buck Clinical Research Unit team hosted our annual ‘Clinical Research Participants Appreciation Reception.’ Community members who volunteered their time and submitted to various pokes, prods and study products came together to celebrate the success of our seven active clinical studies, and to hear about progress and results. Each study was featured, and a panel of our study leads shared the way that we are transforming peoples gift of time into understanding of healthy aging. Seeing so many of our participants together, and feeling their support and excitement at the progress was an invigorating reminder of why we come to work every day. We are proud to see the growth and success of our clinical research just 4 years since we initiated our first trial. Thank you to our clinical research participants and to our dedicated clinical research scientists - together we are bringing to life the future of ‘better longer’. Learn more about our clinical trials and fill out the interest form if you’re interested in participating too. buckinstitute.org/clinical-trials/

Thanks for the shoutout ClarkLindsey!

What if aging isn't something that just happens to us? What if it's something we can influence?

Today, ClarkLindsey residents had the opportunity to learn from experts connected to the Buck Institute for Research on Aging, home to some of the world's leading scientists studying aging and longevity.

Their mission is centered on healthspan, the number of years we spend living in good health, not just the number of years we live. Researchers at the Buck Institute believe that aging is more flexible and responsive than once thought, and that many of the choices we make every day can help shape how we age. (BUCK)

👉One message stood out: We have agency in our own health and aging!

While none of us can stop time, science continues to show that healthy habits, meaningful relationships, physical activity, lifelong learning, and a sense of purpose can all contribute to a longer, healthier life. The goal isn't simply adding years to life, it's adding life to our years. (Buck Academy)

At ClarkLindsey, we're proud to foster a community where residents continue to learn, grow, and take an active role in their well-being. Because healthy aging isn't just about getting older, it's about continuing to live our best life!

In the final episode of season 3 of the Buck Podcast we answer your biggest aging questions, from whether there is a single root cause of aging to why different organs fail in different ways. We also dig into what it would take to run human trials that prove real healthspan gains while staying honest about biomarkers, animal data, and online misinformation.

Our mission includes training the next generation of aging-science researchers and sharing our science with our community.

New Buck podcast dropped today! Filtering Out Aging with guest Brad Younggren. What if removing and replacing part of your blood could turn back some of the measurable signs of aging? Brianna Stubbs talks with Dr. Brad Younggren, emergency physician, former Army doctor, and CEO of Circulate Health, about therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE). They cover how the procedure works, what the blinded Circulate trial found (including an average 2.6-year reduction in biological age over three months), TPE's unique potential to clear microplastics from the bloodstream, and the broader impact of our environment—the exposome—on human .
