"I went to Adams Sports Medicine & PT after being told by a podiatrist that I could not run for several weeks and that my injury would only continue to worsen. Their staff not only helped me recover quickly from the injury, but also educated me on what was really going on with my injury and how to prevent it in the future. Now I am a happy athlete that can run as much as I want to and work toward

achieving competitive goals!"

Dr. Brittani Bennett recently returned to the University of Michigan-Flint to participate in the Physical Therapy Program’s alumni panel. Brittani has taken part in the panel for several years, giving back by sharing her experiences as a physical therapist and offering insight into the outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine setting for incoming students.

This year’s panel was especially meaningful, as two of our current and former PT aides, Alexandra and Noelle, are preparing to begin their own PT school journeys at UM-Flint! We’re proud of Brittani for continuing to support future physical therapists and so excited for Alexandra and Noelle as they begin this exciting new chapter and work toward becoming physical therapists themselves! 💙💛

Congratulations to everyone who took on the challenging 111-mile Watermoo Gravel Race this past weekend as part of the Michigan Gravel Race Series!

A special thank-you to Nick Stanko for organizing another incredible event. Brian Adams, Alan Zoltowski, Rob Daksiewicz, and Seth Kleinglass were stationed at mile 72, helping riders refuel and cool down with food, drinks, and cold towels.

It was a great day seeing so many familiar faces out on the course. Awesome job to all the riders! 🚴👏🐄

Welcome to the team, Dr. Grace Fojut! 👏🏽🏃‍♀️

We’re excited to officially introduce Grace as ASMPT’s 2026–2027 Sports Physical Therapy Resident!

Grace earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from North Central College after competing as a collegiate javelin thrower and water polo athlete. Her passion for endurance sports has taken her through multiple half Ironmans, a 50K ultramarathon, and long-distance open water swims—giving her a firsthand understanding of the demands athletes place on their bodies.

Grace has a special interest in working with endurance and tactical athletes. Combining her lifelong dream of becoming a firefighter with her passion for sports rehabilitation, she has also earned her National Registry EMT certification and is dedicated to helping those who serve our communities perform at their best.

Originally from the Chicagoland area, Grace recently moved to Michigan with her husband and dog. When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll likely find her on the trails, camping, or training for her next endurance event.

Over the next year, Grace will be completing ASMPT’s Sports Physical Therapy Residency, expanding her clinical expertise while preparing for the board-certified Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) examination.

We’re excited to have you on the team, Grace, and can’t wait to follow your journey this year! 💪🏻

Last month, ASMPT Ambassador Sarah Vano competed in the Tree Farm Relays, where her team earned 1st place in the Women’s Advanced Division! 🥇🌲 🚴🏽‍♂️

When she wasn’t racing, Sarah spent the day cheering on and supporting the MiSCA Devo teams, while her husband volunteered his time helping with race timing.

We’re proud of Sarah not only for her success on the race course, but also for the way she continues to support our local cycling community. Congratulations, Sarah! 🚴‍♀️👏

Congratulations to Dr. Kelsey Slayton on completing her Sports Residency at Adams Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy! 🎉💪

This is an incredible accomplishment, and we’re so proud to celebrate Kelsey as the newest graduate of our Sports Residency Program. 🎓

Over the past year, Kelsey has cared for a wide variety of athletes while growing her skills both in the clinic and out in the community. She gained valuable experience through athletic coverage, mentorship, and hands-on learning, continuing to build her knowledge and passion for sports physical therapy.

Kelsey also spent time assisting with the Detroit Catholic Central Boys Swim Team, helping keep athletes healthy throughout their season. From injury evaluations and rehab to return-to-sport progression, she played an important role in supporting the team both in and out of the pool.

Throughout the residency, she had the opportunity to observe orthopedic surgeries, work alongside sports medicine physicians, assist with return-to-sport testing, and provide coverage at local endurance events. These experiences gave her a well-rounded look at caring for athletes through every stage of recovery and performance.

As she prepares for her Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) Board Examination, we know the knowledge and experience she’s gained over the past year will continue to serve her well.

We’re incredibly proud of everything you’ve accomplished, Kelsey! 🎉 A huge thank you to Dr. Brian Adams, Dr. Daryl Moore, Dr. Hannah Cook, Dr. Sean Condra and Dr. Joe Goike for their guidance, mentorship, and support throughout the residency.

Here’s to an amazing year of growth and to all that’s ahead. Congratulations again, Kelsey, we can’t wait to see where your career takes you! 👏💙

Huge congratulations to Kash on an incredible week at Junior Nationals! 🥇 Three National Titles and a track record… an outstanding accomplishment 🚴🏽‍♂️🔥👏

Repost from Kash

Really thrilled to take three more National Titles this week at my last junior nationals. The omnium has been a pretty big goal of mine for a while so it’s nice to finally tick that one off. Also stoked with the IP title / track record and a really solid TP.

Big thanks to my parents, Hot Tubes Cycling , goat status (Iain MacKeith ), the Crabbes and everyone involved Mad Track Arena
