This seemed important to share. This quote came to me from completely different sources once last week and once this week. As a yoga teacher I strive to spend time asking myself what might be worth consideration for my students to contemplate when they make the time to listen deeply to themselves. Inside of that space I must operate from my own inner clarity, when I am lucky enough to recognize it. Whoever needs to sit with this quote today I share it for you. For those who maybe learned to be closed off and tight, for those maybe feeling that resistance in their bodies and minds today from maybe lessons learned long ago. It’s never too late to let that light inside of you shine toward the outside of you.

Yoga is sharing connection. With other people but also all living things. This was In Vitality’s 2nd year offering outdoor yoga in Novi. This year we took it to the beach so we could get our feet and hands into the sand, feel the breeze and the sun on our skin. Our planet gives us all we need to align. Sun, air, and plants are our fuel. A huge gift of this year’s practice was the addition of sound therapy from Lisa Healing Balance LLC - Holistic Wellness Therapy . It was a pleasure of mine to share the body, mind, and spirit healing space with her.
It was so good to see both familiar and new faces. 🙏🏻 🧘 ☀️ 💪🏻. Together we discover Vitality

When: May 2, 10-11:30am

Investment: $40 (non-members), $35 (members)

What if caring for the earth wasn’t separate from caring for ourselves?

In this collaborative workshop, we’ll explore the idea of regeneration — not just as a way of gardening, but as a way of relating to the world around us. Through a blend of conversation, movement, and hands-on experience, you’ll be introduced to simple, meaningful ways to support the health of the soil, local ecosystems, and your own well-being.

Guided by regenerative gardening educator J’aime Hill, you’ll begin to understand how working with nature — through practices like supporting soil health and planting with intention — can create lasting impact, even in small spaces. As this understanding unfolds, we’ll move into a short, grounding yoga practice and meditation themed in our own connection to the elements through the yoga lens and designed to help you feel that union more directly in your own body.

You will notice how awareness shifts when you slow down, use your hands, and reconnect with the natural world in a more direct way.

We’ll close with a simple, hands-on experience working with soil and plants, giving you the opportunity to engage with the earth in a tangible way and take something home as a continuation of the practice.

You’ll leave with:
• a clearer understanding of regenerative gardening and why it matters
• simple ways to begin supporting soil health and local ecosystems
• a felt sense of connection through breath, movement, and touch
• a small, planted container to take home and continue nurturing

Who is this for?
• anyone curious about regenerative gardening or sustainable living
• those who enjoy learning through experience, not just information
• yoga students interested in connecting practice to the natural world
• anyone seeking a deeper sense of connection — to the earth and to themselves

No prior gardening or yoga experience is needed.

In this complimentary introductory talk, Meena Puri explores the connection between emotional patterns, relationships, and physical well-being through the lens of Ayurveda.

Many of the symptoms we experience—such as anxiety, fatigue, digestive issues, and feeling overwhelmed—are not just physical. They are often connected to how we process stress, navigate relationships, and respond to emotional experiences.

In this session, you’ll learn:

• how emotional patterns show up in the body

• why certain relationship dynamics impact your energy and nervous system • how Ayurveda explains your responses through the doshas

• simple, practical tools to begin restoring balance

This is a grounded, accessible introduction designed to help you better understand your body and take small, meaningful steps toward feeling more balanced.

About Meena:

A student shared something meaningful with me today.
She told me that although she’s been exposed to yoga for years, one major difference she’s experiencing in our studio is the absence of competition. For the first time, she feels comfortable in her own skin.
In the past, she would wonder if she belonged in a class, or if not being able to do a movement the same way someone else could somehow made her less than or inadequate. Now, that comparison has softened — and in its place is a growing sense of ease, presence, and trust in herself.
And this is freedom: becoming comfortable in the present moment.
The mind no longer has to measure, perform, or prove.
It can simply be.

This is the quiet power of a safe, non-competitive practice space — where nervous systems settle, self-judgment loosens, and people begin to feel at home in themselves again.
