Montefiore Nyack is a 391-bed acute care medical and surgical hospital serving Rockland County and the lower Hudson Valley region. 2020 marked the Hospital’s 125th Anniversary of meeting the critical needs of people in the community. What started as a two-story house with nine beds, operating room, nurse’s parlor, reception area and dining room has today become a major regional medical center. Because of supporters like you, we were able to purchase state-of-the-art and provide the highest standard of care. Today, we unveiled the recognition wall for the Dr. Lawrence Simon Fund for Surgical Excellence & Patient Care. Thanks to our generous donors, more than $112,000 has been raised to support Wound Care Center patients who need specialized procedures that are not covered by insurance.
We were honored to celebrate Dr. Simon with family, friends, colleagues, and supporters, and thank everyone who made this meaningful effort possible.

Montefiore Nyack Foundation proudly congratulates Paul and Mary Adler on receiving the prestigious Elie Wiesel Memorial Award from the Holocaust Museum & Center for Tolerance and Education.

This distinguished honor recognizes individuals whose lives and leadership reflect the values championed by Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Elie Wiesel — remembrance, moral courage, human dignity, education, and a commitment to combating hatred and intolerance.

Paul serves as Chair of the Montefiore Nyack Hospital Foundation and Vice Chair of the Montefiore Nyack Hospital Board of Trustees. Through their extraordinary philanthropy, leadership, and service to our community, Paul and Mary Adler have helped strengthen healthcare, advance compassion, and make a lasting impact on countless lives.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Paul and Mary on this remarkable and deeply meaningful recognition. Photo credit: George Pejoves Photography
