A little lengthy, but an important truth from your rehab chiropractor:
Not every patient has the same goal.
Some people want relief from pain or tension so they can get through their week, manage a flare-up, or stay on top of recurring discomfort.
Some people have physically demanding jobs, repetitive postures, or occupational stress that continues to irritate the same areas over time, so ongoing supportive care helps them manage those demands.
Some athletes come in regularly because their training load is high, and care helps manage soreness, mobility restrictions, workload, recovery, and performance goals.
Some people want long-term change. They want to improve mobility, build strength, reduce compensation, increase capacity, and decrease the likelihood of the same issue continuing to return.
All of those goals are valid.
But different goals require different plans.
One adjustment can absolutely help you feel better. It can reduce restriction, improve motion, and help your body move with less tension.
But if the goal is long-term change, we usually need more than one visit.
The adjustment is a tool.
Rehab is a tool.
Consistency is what creates lasting change.
Relief matters. Performance matters. Long-term change matters.
Your care should match your goals.
