🤍 Does insertion hurt?
Everyone’s experience is different. Most patients experience moderate intensity cramping during and shortly after insertion, but the procedure itself is quick.

🤍 How effective is an IUD?
IUDs are more than 99% effective at preventing pregnancy, making them one of the most reliable birth control options available.

🤍 Will it stop my periods?
Hormonal IUDs may make periods lighter, shorter, or even stop them altogether. Copper IUDs may cause heavier periods and more cramping, especially at first.

🤍 Can I feel it?
You shouldn’t feel the IUD itself. You may be able to feel the strings, but most partners do not notice them.

🤍 How long does it last?
Depending on the type, IUDs can provide protection for 3-10 years.

🤍 Can it be removed if I change my mind?
Absolutely! An IUD can be removed at any time by your healthcare provider, and fertility typically returns quickly after removal.
