988 is the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline, a free and confidential resource you can call or text anytime, day or night. It connects you with a trained counselor who will listen and help you through whatever you're facing, whether that's a moment of crisis or just a really hard day.

Asking for help is not weakness. It is one of the strongest things a person can do. If you are struggling, if a friend or family member is struggling, or if you are simply not sure what to say to someone who might be, 988 is there for exactly that.

Recovery is possible. Support is real. And you are never alone in this.

Labor Day started as a day to honor workers, but this year, let it also be a day to honor the work you're doing on yourself.

Showing up to therapy, sticking with your care plan, having hard conversations with your provider: that's labor too. And like any hard work, it needs recovery time.

Nature already knows this. A butterfly doesn't emerge from its chrysalis and fly off right away. It rests first, wings open, letting itself catch up to all that change. Even the most transformative work comes with a pause built in.

If you have the day off, let yourself actually take it off. Not just from your job, but from the pressure to be productive every waking hour. Sit outside. Watch the light move. Let your mind be as still as that butterfly on the leaf.

Rest helps your mind process, reset, and keep making progress, even when it doesn't look like progress.

However you spend today, we hope it includes a real pause.

On International Overdose Awareness Day, we remember the people we've lost to overdose, and we stand with everyone still on the path to recovery.

Substance use disorder is a medical condition, not a moral failing. It responds to treatment the same way depression, anxiety, or any other health condition does, with the right support, at the right time.

If you or someone you love is struggling, reaching out is a strong first step, not a last resort.

You don't have to have it all figured out to start. You just have to start.

Grief doesn't follow a schedule, and it doesn't always look like tears. Sometimes it's fatigue. Sometimes it's irritability, or a heaviness that shows up out of nowhere on an ordinary Tuesday.

On this National Grief Awareness Day, let us say it plainly: however grief is showing up for you, it's valid, and you don't have to carry it alone.

Therapy isn't just for crisis moments. It's a place to process loss at your own pace, with a provider who won't rush you toward "moving on." Healing isn't linear, and your care team is here for every step, including the hard ones.

You're allowed to grieve in your own way, and you're allowed to ask for support while you do. If you've been thinking about reaching out, consider this your gentle nudge.

Consider this your official permission slip, friends.

Mental health journeys aren't linear. There are good days and hard ones. But when your care team makes you feel like a person and not a task on a checklist, that's what keeps people showing up.

This is why we do what we do.

Dolly understood something we see every day: hope is where healing starts, but showing up is what gets you there. To every patient making it to their next appointment, practicing a new coping skill, setting a boundary, or having a hard conversation with their therapist or psychiatrist: that's the work. That's how brighter days get built, one step at a time.

Today we honor Dolly not just for her music and generosity, but for the reminder that real change takes hope and hard work together.

New backpack, new teacher, new nerves. Back-to-school season can stir up real anxiety in kids and in the adults getting them out the door.

A few things that help: name the feeling instead of brushing past it, get bedtime and morning routines back on track before day one, and walk through the unfamiliar parts ahead of time. Small doses of familiarity go a long way.

If the worry doesn't ease after the first week or two, that's not something to push through alone. That's what your care team is here for.
