AAP’s latest respiratory virus immunization recommendations are here, just in time for back to school and virus season. The recommendations include:

Flu: Recommended for all children 6 months and older, unless they have a medical reason not to receive it.

RSV: Recommended for babies younger than 8 months if their parent did not receive RSV immunization during pregnancy, or if the baby was born less than 14 days after the parent was immunized. Immunocompromised infants entering their second RSV season should also receive RSV immunization.

COVID-19: Recommended for children 6-23 months old, and for older children who are at high risk for severe illness. AAP also says it should be available for any child whose parent wants them to be vaccinated.
