Sometimes you don’t realize how much tension you’re carrying…
until it’s gone. ✨

What’s your favorite part of your massage?

03/28/2026

If you’re debating about shaving your legs before your massage….

Here’s the truth:
Your massage therapist doesn’t care.

We care about:
✨ Your comfort
✨ Your relaxation
✨ Helping you feel better

Hair, no hair, somewhere in between…
Come as you are.

Your body deserves care — not stress. 🌿

Chronic aches and pains often build slowly over time — from daily stress, repetitive movement, or long hours in one position.

Massage offers a gentle way to help the body release tension and restore balance.

Massage may help:
• Ease muscle tension
• Improve mobility
• Increase circulation
• Calm the nervous system

If your body has been asking for care, I would be honored to hold that space for you. ✨

Deep Tissue vs. Deep Pressure — What’s the Difference?

These two terms are often used interchangeably, but they’re not the same thing.

Deep Pressure
Deep pressure simply means using firmer, heavier pressure during a massage. It can be applied during a full-body Swedish session and is always adjusted to your comfort level.
It’s about intensity of touch.

Deep Tissue
Deep tissue is a specific, focused therapeutic approach.
It targets particular muscles, adhesions, or patterns of restriction using slower, intentional techniques. It’s not about working the entire body deeply — it’s about addressing a specific issue with precision.
It’s about clinical intention and focus.

At Elysium On Whidbey – Massage & Bodywork, I offer:
• Swedish massage with light to firm pressure
• Focused deep tissue work when there’s a specific area needing therapeutic attention

You don’t need full-body deep pressure to get effective results. Often, slower and more intentional creates deeper change.

If you’re unsure what your body needs, we’ll decide together during your intake. 🤍
