One of the more challenging Michigan CNA testable skills is Feeding a Dependent Resident. This skill isn’t just about feeding a resident—it’s also about making accurate observations and documenting intake correctly.

Today, our students are practicing estimating food and fluid consumption before performing the entire Headmaster skill.

📚 Michigan Headmaster Testing Tip:
✔️ Your documented fluid intake must be within 30 mL of the test observer’s measurement.
✔️ Your documented food intake must be within 25% of the test observer’s estimate.

These may seem like small details, but accurate documentation is essential for resident safety and is a critical part of becoming a competent Certified Nursing Assistant.
