Insurance travails have been on the news. Common, is denials of needed physical therapy by insurance, less common is discussion of real facts about costs. For example, Physical Therapy can help avoid surgery in many cases. But it is not well publicized. Also, some insurance plans are more aligned with patient needs. Do you have the right plan? Do you have the option to select a better plan than you are on now? It is tempting to consider only the monthly premium but will you have restrictions and copays you can live with?
