The Guest House Food Show

We were thrilled to welcome all of our sister communities together for an afternoon full of incredible food and good company!

From Flat Iron Steaks and St. Louis Ribs to Smash Burgers, White Cheddar Mac & Cheese, Strawberry Shortcake, Lemon & Cream Shortcake, and so much more — there was something for everyone to enjoy!

We appreciate everyone who attended and helped make this event such a success. Events like these remind us how special it is to come together as one team and continue creating amazing dining experiences for our residents.

At Senior Solutions, we believe exceptional dementia care begins with education, compassion, and understanding. ❤️

Recently, team members gathered in Knoxville for an immersive Alzheimer’s Disease & Dementia Care Seminar led by Certified Dementia Practitioner® trainer Helen Porter. From Executive Directors and Nurses to Caregivers, Marketing and Activity Professionals, our teams came together with one shared mission — to provide the highest level of person-centered care for our residents.

One of the most impactful experiences of the day allowed participants to “walk in the shoes” of someone living with dementia through sensory exercises designed to simulate confusion, overstimulation, and communication barriers. It was a powerful reminder that patience, empathy, and human connection matter deeply in memory care.

We are proud to invest in ongoing dementia education and Certified Dementia Practitioner® pathways to ensure our residents receive compassionate, respectful, and cutting-edge care every single day.

Because behind every diagnosis is a person with a story, a family, and a life that deserves to be honored. 💜

The Spoon Therapy for Dementia

Spoon Theory helps explain why patience, compassion, and a calm environment matter so much. It also helps us to understand that dementia starts with understanding their “spoons.”
