Possibly the most frustrating thing a neurological chiropractor can hear is, “we are so busy this summer so…” “the holidays are crazy so…” you know what comes next: “I’ll come back in when things calm down.”

Okay Susan, no problem! We’ll see you again in 4 months for another intensive plan! 🥴 (Which the patient will be upset by)

In this profession we know there’s people who say you’re just told to come in a lot because they want to make more money or claim that if we really fixed your symptoms you shouldn’t have to keep going.

Unfortunately that’s just a huuuuge misunderstanding in the way chiropractic works. We get our kids checked (and usually they need to be adjusted) DAILY. Yes, daily.

That being said, there’s certainly times of more intensive care and times when you can go longer between checks. But ultimately we put a lot of stress on our bodies and maintenance and consistency is your best friend so don’t lose all your progress by going on hiatus for the summer.
