Congratulations to our Hospice Volunteer of the Year, Dick Guiton!

We are so proud to share that Dick was recognized at the annual Minnesota Network of Hospice & Palliative Care (MNHPC) conference as their Volunteer of the Year and no one deserves it more!

For 24 years and over 1,767 hours, Dick has shown up at bedsides, in chapels, and in the lives of patients and families with compassion, grace, and an unwavering smile.

Dick leads Eucharist and healing services, mentors fellow volunteers, and has helped guide our organization through some of its most challenging transitions. And when he gave up driving? He didn't skip a beat. He started taking Uber to keep showing up for the people who need him most.

Dick, you are the heart of hospice. Thank you for 24 years of love, presence, and service. This award is so well deserved.

Our team was proud to attend this year’s conference hosted by the Minnesota Network of Hospice & Palliative Care. The conference is an opportunity to learn, connect, and grow alongside others dedicated to compassionate care.

A special highlight: Kerry had the honor of meeting renowned author and palliative care physician Ira Byock. His work continues to shape meaningful conversations around end-of-life care and what it means to live well until the very end.
