My mom sente her sterling silver bracelets that she stared collecting when I was 4 yrs old...they are 50 yrs old and I am so honored to be wearing them today until✨️✨️✨️✨️.

We lived in Los Angeles off Pico and West Blvd at the time and the shop was owned by a Sistar that would buy merchandise from Africa directly and offered layaway to her customers. I remember hearing clinking and clanking sounds of these bracelets throughout my childhood.

My mom is the 1st revolutionary woman I have ever met and to this day, she never ceases to amaze me👑. I give thanks for you.

Feeling sabar more and more especially when the instructor Babacar Mbaye is gifted in breaking down the music and timing while syncing them with the movements. Although I have not taken any form of African dance class since last October, it felt good being on the floor once again and challenging myself with a style I never really soaked up. This was my favorite class at this year's Dance Africa Miami Delou Africa.

We don't have a sabar instructor here in Miami so this was a sweet treat for Us! And the drummers were 🔥🔥🔥!

My LA Dance Family also made my weekend magical as we haven't danced together in years. A therapeutic time was had...this is what the Dr. ordered.
