Einkorn wheat dehulling machine arrived this week and seems to be working. Right pic is hull on wheat and left pic is wheat berries after going thru machine and ready for the stone mill. Flour should be ready soon just waiting on 5lb packaging to arrive.

From two bees to this in 5 minutes. This is what a dearth looks like or when there arent many blooms for honey bees. I set these out to feed them. We aren't kidding when we say our honey goes fast lol

Here at Stark Lavender Fields we try to continue to grow and create new products. It started with lavender to honey and grew from there. This year we decided to grow ancient Einkorn wheat. Einkorn is the first wheat ever harvested. It is non GMO, non hybridized, organic seed, and we never use chemicals in our fields. Because the Einkorn wheat only has 14 chromosomes, unlike other wheats, the human body can more easily digest it and people with gluten intolerances tend to do better with this variety. High in protein and low in gluten and great for sourdough. We are setting up our stone mill to process this wheat into flour which we will offer to the public for sale in a few weeks.
