I have a bet. I bet that you too get sick of "working on loving your body." Like, some part of you logically knows there's SOOO much to love, but on the other hand you're just not quite perfect enough yet to allow yourself to love it all?
And until that day of perfection comes, and it's safe enough to feel good, you basically banish yourself and your body and all the potential good feelings to the realm of NOPE! NOT TODAY! TODAY YOU SHALL FEEL LIKE S**T (and tomorrow too)!
Sh!tlandia. Yes, please. Let's spend more time locked in the high tower there where we can work on being perfect enough to like our bodies and finally come out to the world and jiggle all our bits with glee.
Except we won't have any bits, cuz we'll be perfectly bit-less.
If you are even 10% the @$$hole I frequently am to myself, you probably have a fair amount of self-criticism simmering just under the surface and it's the only truly ugly thing going on.
By now, you are so used to living in Sh!tlandia that you have long forgotten the code to open the pad lock on the door to the high tower. And besides, you're still not perfect.
Maybe it's time to take the tower apart brick by brick.
On JUNE 1, I'm leading a brand-new workshop to take you beyond surface-level body positivity towards a wholehearted embracing of You and what you want. It's a mini-intro that combines what I've learned and practiced in over a decade of mindfulness, embodied movement, vocal work, and my newer toolkit of Transformational NLP.
Only a two spots are left, so grab your t***y and grab a seat now!
