Yoga With Laura E-RYT 200 | YACEP
Taking care of your mind, body, and soul through breath, movement, and healing sound.

My approach is adaptive and trauma-informed with a focus on Vinyasa, Yin, and Sound Healing. Laura has been teaching yoga full-time for three years, sharing her passion for the practice in studios, corporate settings, and the great outdoors. A lifelong student of yoga, her journey began in 1999 at Piedmont Yoga Studio and quickly became more than a physical disciplineβ€”it became a sanctuary for hea

ling from the trauma of childhood abuse. Yoga offered Laura a profound sense of being seen, loved, and accepted, inspiring her to help others discover the transformative power within this beautiful practice. Born and raised in Oakland, California Laura's love for movement and expression spans decades, from her roots in dance and musical theater to marathon running. After a 30 year career in event management left her feeling burned out and overwhelmed, she courageously pivoted to pursue her true passion as a yoga teacher in 2021. Laura’s teaching is rooted in love, healing, and inclusivity, offering a safe space for all to explore their unique journeys. She remains deeply grateful for yoga’s role in her own transformation and is dedicated to sharing its gifts with others, guiding them toward growth, self-discovery, and well-being. Hiking Yoga is coming back!🌲πŸ₯ΎπŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ

One of my favorite ways to practice is outside - moving with nature, slowing down, breathing fresh air, and remembering that joy doesn't have to be complicated!!!

I'm planning future Hiking Yoga adventures in the East Bay and would love your input...

πŸ‘‡ please tell me:

What Saturday dates would work best for you over the next few months?

July?
August?
September?

Your feedback will help shape the upcoming schedule πŸ’œπŸ™πŸΌπŸ’œ

Hiking Yoga includes mindful hiking, gentle yoga, moments of stillness, and time to connect with nature and yourself β˜€οΈπŸŒ²πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ

I've been home from Bend for a few days now, back to teaching, back to my regular schedule, back to real life stuff.

And what I've noticed is that Bend keeps showing up in my classes...

A cue from a workshop. A new way of moving. A fresh perspective. A reminder that yoga is SO much bigger than the schedules we keep, the roles we play, the expectations we carry.

What made this year's experience so special wasn't just allllll the yoga and allll the awesome learning - it was the people. πŸ’œπŸ™πŸΌπŸ’œ

A huge thank you to Bend Yoga Festival and Angela for creating such a warm, safe, welcoming, and heart-centered gathering. The care, thoughtfulness, and love behind this festival can be felt in every detail.

I'm also deeply grateful to the teachers who inspired me, challenged me, and reminded me why I keep showing up to practice. Some longtime favorites, some new favorites, and all of them offering something I'll carry forward into my teaching. Amy, Gina, Tiffany- you ROCK my yoga world!!!!

And then there are the festival friendships πŸ’œ thank you to Brittany, Ginger, Denelle, Tricia, Lance and all the wonderful humans I met along the way. One of my favorite things about yoga festivals is how quickly strangers become friends and how those connections stay with us long after we return home.

I came home with a full heart, a notebook full of ideas, and an unreasonable level of enthusiasm about tennis balls. πŸŽΎπŸ˜„βœ¨οΈ

Already looking forward to next year...

The MalecΓ³n in the middle of the day feels like its own kind of rhythm πŸ‡²πŸ‡½ sun overhead, music spilling into the street, street performers, waves crashing beside the boardwalk, and people everywhere moving in every direction at once!

Cold tuba fresca with apples and pecans and grilled shrimp tacos by the water.... ahhhhhh 🍎πŸ₯₯🍀

Somewhere between the ocean air, the bright colors, and saying "no gracias" a hundred times 🀣 we're hot, happy, and fully immersed in Puerto Vallarta!!!

There's something humbling about rolling out a mat beside the ocean at the start of the morning, as everyone just starts waking up πŸŒŠβ˜€οΈπŸ˜Š

And sometimes… you just end up starfished on the warm deck absorbing the morning energy instead πŸ˜‚

Salt air, soft light, barefoot mornings, and the reminder that simply being is enough... feeling very grateful for this beautiful little adventure in Puerto Vallarta πŸ§˜πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ‡²πŸ‡½πŸ’œ
