We had so much fun taking a trip down memory lane with our residents, reminiscing about the music, fashion, movies, trends, and unforgettable moments that made the ’90s so special. ⚽🌍 The World Cup excitement has arrived at Ivy Park at Lake Merritt!

This week, our directors and team members proudly dressed in their !favorite soccer gear to celebrate the world’s most beloved sport and the many cultures it brings together. The fun continued as our Activities team rallied behind Argentina as they prepared to take on Switzerland today—July 11.

From friendly competition to great conversations and lots of team spirit, it’s been a wonderful way to bring residents and staff together in celebration of the beautiful game.

We kicked off America's 250th birthday celebration on July 2nd with a festive fun, patriotic BBQ for our residents right in our front yard! ❤️🤍💙

The celebration continued on the 4th with our very own Independence Day parade through our Memory Care neighborhood. Residents enjoyed waving flags, cheering on the parade, and sharing in the joy of celebrating together.

These special moments help create meaningful connections, spark treasured memories, and remind us that every celebration is an opportunity to make someone feel seen and included.

Ivy Park at Lake Merritt hosted our Concert Series this afternoon. This month’s event featured a special Pride focus, honoring love, inclusion, and the unique stories that make our community so vibrant. Residents, families, and friends gathered to enjoy our favorite entertainer, Orlando, while savoring delicious appetizers thoughtfully prepared by our Executive Chef. Through familiar songs, meaningful conversations, and shared experiences, we celebrated the spirit of Pride and the importance of creating a welcoming community where everyone feels valued, respected, and at home.

🎓Celebrating a Lifetime of Achievement 🎓

We proudly honored our resident graduates in a special Senior Graduation Ceremony, celebrating the many milestones, accomplishments, and life lessons that have shaped their remarkable journeys.

This event was especially meaningful as we recognized one extraordinary resident whose path looked different from the traditional school experience. Instead of attending school, she made the selfless decision to care for her family, dedicating her life to supporting and uplifting those she loved. Through her sacrifice, determination, and unwavering commitment, she helped pave the way for future generations to pursue higher education and achieve their dreams.

Her legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren, including family members who have attended and are currently attending Ivy League universities. Her story is a powerful reminder that success is not measured only by degrees earned, but by the lives we touch, the opportunities we create for others, and the lasting impact we leave behind.

Congratulations to all of our graduates. Today we celebrate not only educational achievements, but lives well-lived, challenges overcome, families nurtured, and legacies built. Your stories inspire us all. ❤️🎓

Our residents rolled onto the patio for a Walker & Wheelchair Wash filled with bubbles, music, tasty treats, and plenty of laughter. It was a wonderful afternoon of fresh air, friendship, and fun as we helped keep our wheels sparkling and ready to roll!
