1️⃣ What is your aftercare protocol?
Proper aftercare can make or break your results! Your provider should explain how to cleanse, hydrate, and protect your skin after treatment.
2️⃣ What products are you applying during treatment?
Not all serums, exosomes, growth factors, or skincare products are appropriate for freshly microneedled skin. Always ask what’s being used and why!
3️⃣ Am I a good candidate for microneedling?
Active breakouts, infections, compromised skin barriers, certain medications, and recent procedures can affect treatment safety. A thorough skin assessment is essential!
4️⃣ What should I avoid afterward, and for how long?
Know when to resume makeup, exercise, heat exposure, retinoids, and exfoliating acids. Generally, avoid excessive heat and intense exercise for 24–48 hours and irritating skincare until your skin has recovered.
5️⃣ What does normal healing look like, and what’s a red flag?
Redness, mild swelling, dryness, and flaking can be normal. Increasing pain, worsening redness, blistering, or unusual drainage are NOT. Know when to contact your provider!
