Our Resident Council Is Giving Back! 💚💙

Our Bridgewater Park Resident Council is doing it again, and we couldn't be more proud of them! 🥰
Our residents are starting their “giving” season a little early this year, presenting their first round of donations to three organizations that hold a very special place in our hearts and in our Marion County community:

🤝 Interfaith Emergency Services — providing essential assistance to individuals and families throughout Marion County, including food, clothing, shelter, housing, medication assistance, and other basic needs.
🐾 Humane Society of Marion County — dedicated to compassionate care, advocacy, and education while working to prevent animal cruelty, suffering, and overpopulation and help animals find loving homes.
🐴 Ponies for Patriots & Pint-Sized Therapy — bringing the healing and therapeutic connection of horses to veterans and others in our community. Their miniature horses, including our very own favorite, Fancy, have a special way of bringing comfort, connection, and joy.

What makes these donations even more meaningful is that our residents work hard all year long to raise the money they are able to give back to our community. Through their fundraisers, activities, and the generosity of those who support Resident Council, they turn their time and talents into something that can make a difference for others.
Our residents truly have the biggest and most giving hearts, and we are so proud to watch them continue to find ways to make a positive impact beyond the walls of Bridgewater Park. 💕
They may call Bridgewater Park home, but their generosity reaches far beyond it. 🥰
Thank you to these wonderful organizations for all you do for our community — and a very special thank you to our incredible Resident Council for reminding us that giving back is always in season. 💙💚

Celebrating National Senior Citizens Day at Bridgewater Park! 🐴💛

On August 21st, we celebrated National Senior Citizens Day by honoring the incredible seniors who make our Bridgewater Park family so special!

National Senior Citizens Day is a wonderful opportunity to recognize the lives, accomplishments, wisdom, and experiences of older adults. We feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by so many amazing seniors every day. Each of our residents has a unique story to tell, lessons to share, and memories that have helped shape the people and communities around them. It is truly a privilege to celebrate them—not just on one special day, but every day! 🥰

And of course, we couldn't celebrate without a visit from one of our favorite seniors… Fancy the Mini-Horse! 🐴💕 Fancy came bearing LOTS of ice cream, making the celebration even sweeter! 🍦 And because Fancy is a senior citizen herself in horsy years, she was the perfect guest of honor! But Fancy wasn't our only four-legged friend to stop by! Our beloved therapy dogs, Ruby and Bella, also came to visit and share some love with our residents. 🐾❤️

We absolutely love having so many four-legged friends as part of our Bridgewater Park family. Whether they have hooves or paws, they have a special way of bringing comfort, happiness, laughter, and endless smiles to our residents. They truly are so special to us! 🥰🐴🐾We may be a little biased, but we think our seniors—and our four-legged friends—are pretty special!

"Our very first B.E.S.T. Academy graduating class will always hold a special place in my heart. It was the beginning of something meaningful, and watching everyone grow, and support one another throughout the journey made it truly special. This class took a chance on something new, brought their own experiences and ideas, and helped set the foundation for what B.E.S.T. is, and can become.

Robert is a current Short-term rehabilitation resident and was ready to be married but not yet ready to discharge to home! So, that calls for a Bridgewater Park wedding! It was our joy to host this wedding ceremony for them!

Our residents had a wonderful time visiting the World Equestrian Center - Ocala to watch an incredible dressage show! From the beautiful horses to the talented riders, we were thoroughly impressed by the grace, precision, and teamwork on display.

And of course, no outing is complete without a great lunch afterward! Our residents enjoyed a delicious meal, good conversation, and plenty of smiles.

It was a fantastic day filled with horses, fun, friendship, and memories!

Yesterday, we had the privilege of hosting our Annual First Responders’ Lunch, and what a wonderful day it was!

Style, smiles, and confidence were on full display at Bridgewater Park Assisted Living!

A heartfelt thank you to Jasmine Boutique of Ocala for sponsoring our Summer Fashion Show and helping our ladies shine in beautiful seasonal styles. From bright colors to breezy summer looks, each resident walked the runway looking—and feeling—absolutely beautiful. The fun continued after the show as everyone had the chance to shop their favorite looks!
