This morning, Dr. Coakley and Dr. Elbaum worked together on a challenging case. Dr. Elbaum extracted the patient’s third molars and surgically exposed the impacted second molars. Dr. Coakley then placed orthodontic brackets and a wire to begin uprighting and guiding the teeth into proper position.

Cases like this are a great example of how oral surgery and orthodontics work hand in hand. A successful outcome requires careful planning, communication, and true collaboration between specialties.
