We made the perfect Bruno Burrito to keep this little guy comfortable and cozy before surgery. 🌯 Unfortunately, Bruno’s colon was severely impacted and he needed an anoplasty and e***a to get everything moving again. This little guy was an absolute champ through it all. And once he recovered, Bruno went right back to being our favorite tightly wrapped snack. 💛

Who’s cooler than a soccer team sporting ASC jerseys?! 😎

In an effort to support our community and the people closest to him, Dr. Infernuso recently took on a new endeavor: sponsoring a youth soccer team at ARG Soccer School! This sponsorship helped the team buy uniforms, soccer equipment, and medical kits.

We believe in the importance of supporting young people through education, recreation, and the opportunity to simply have fun being kids. And we couldn’t be more excited to cheer on this rockstar team as they dominate the field in style! Go ASC! ⚽️

We got quite the treat with a visit from Gravy, a mushy little bulldog puppy from Christina’s Animal Safe Haven Rescue. Gravy has spina bifida, which unfortunately means he is f***l and urine incontinent, but it certainly doesn’t stop him from being the sweetest, happiest guy. We’re wishing this special boy all the luck in the world as he searches for the perfect family to give him the extra care and endless love he deserves. 🥰🐶

It’s a domino effect—preventing accidental litters helps reduce animal overpopulation and homelessness, which means more space in shelters and foster homes for the animals who desperately need it. And, of course, spaying and neutering can help keep your own pets safe and healthy.

A huge thank you to our incredible team for making events like our Save a Life: Free Snip & Fix for Rescues possible, and to the hardworking organizations who pour all their time, energy, and resources into saving these pets and finding them loving homes.

Believe it or not, hospital stays can be packed with loads of fun! 🥰🐾

Just ask Thymos! This gentle giant came to us for entropion surgery, a procedure that corrects the eyelids when they roll inward and cause irritation and potential damage to the eye.

And for us, that meant we could have a little more fun with this big boy before surgery! Since he didn’t have the same activity restrictions we would have for an orthopedic or critical patient, we got to take him on a longer walk, play with bubbles, and carry him around like he’s super tiny. 😂

Between the outside time, bubble party, and being treated like the biggest baby in the building, we’re certain Thymos had the time of his life during his stay with us. 🫧🐶

September’s Patient of the Month is a little guy named Shawn! 🥹💛 This 5-month-old Mini Dachshund bravely took on a pretty big challenge: patent ductus arteriosus surgery.

PDA is a congenital heart defect that occurs when the vessel that allows blood to bypass the fetal lungs before birth doesn’t close after birth like it should. This can cause circulatory problems, put extra strain on the heart, and, if left untreated, can eventually lead to congestive heart failure.

Dr. Kam successfully corrected Shawn’s defect, and this little one recovered like an absolute champion. He was instantly eating ravenously, wagging his tail, and happily welcoming visitors into his kennel to aspirate his chest tube. Because apparently, even after open-heart surgery, Shawn had places to be and people to greet!

Luckily, that amazing attitude continued after he went home. Just one week after discharge, his family reported that he was acting like he hadn’t had surgery at all! We’re wishing Shawn and his family all the best as he continues his follow-up care with a cardiologist and starts living the beautiful puppy life he deserves. ❤️🐾

Sometimes, love just isn’t a strong enough word to describe how we feel about the incredible animals in our lives. 💛🐾

Not only does our team feel that way about our own fur babies at home, but that same love extends to our patients, too. Take Naomi, for example. She was simply too gorgeous, too soft, and way too lovable not to squish all day.

Yes, our patients need medicine, monitoring, and medical care, but they also require an excessive amount of love and cuddles (in our professional opinion)! 🧸💕
