No happy little accidents here, just careful prep before treatment. The orange? That's iodine, used to help keep the treatment area clean and sterile. 🧡

💼 Does your job put extra stress on your veins?

The answer isn't necessarily what you do...it's how long you stay in the same position.

Whether you're sitting behind a desk, driving for hours, or standing through an entire shift, your calf muscles aren't pumping blood as efficiently as they do when you're moving regularly. Over time, that can make it harder for blood to travel back to your heart, placing extra pressure on your leg veins.

That's why professions like:
🎢 Theme park employees
🚚 Delivery drivers
🏥 Healthcare workers - nurses & doctors
💇 Hair stylists
🍽️ Bartenders & servers
👮 First responders
👩‍🏫 Teachers
..may be more likely to experience symptoms like tired, achy, heavy, or swollen legs—especially after a long day.

The good news? A few simple habits can help support your circulation and vein health:

🚶 Take short walking breaks when you can.
🦵 Flex your ankles and calves if you're sitting for long periods.
💧 Stay hydrated.
🧦 Wear compression stockings if recommended by your healthcare provider.

👇 What's your profession, and how many hours a day are you on your feet (or sitting)? We'd love to hear from you!

If your legs feel heavier, more swollen, or achier during the hottest months of the year, you're not imagining it. Heat causes your blood vessels to widen, making it harder for blood to efficiently travel back to your heart, especially if you have venous insufficiency.

But John Horowitz has some advice: try POOL THERAPY

💦 Cool water helps your veins constrict, which can improve circulation and reduce swelling.

🌊 The buoyancy of the water takes pressure off your legs, helping reduce the effects of gravity on your veins.

🚶 Walking in the shallow end activates your calf muscles, your body's natural pump that helps move blood back toward your heart.

The best part? You don't have to swim laps. Even a simple walk in the pool can help support healthy circulation.

If the summer heat seems to make your leg swelling, heaviness, or discomfort worse, it may be a sign of an underlying vein condition, not just the weather.

Our specialty trained vein experts can help determine the cause of your symptoms and discuss treatment options that are right for you.

Think vein disease is just cosmetic? Think again.

Vein disease is progressive, meaning it can worsen over time if left untreated. What starts as spider veins can eventually lead to swelling, skin changes, and even slow-healing wounds.

Recognizing the signs early can make all the difference.
