🎓✨ Celebrating Our NECO Externs! ✨🎓
Over the past three months, we have had the pleasure of welcoming Cendy, Melissa, and Brett from the New England College of Optometry to Coan Eye Care as part of their clinical externship experience.

Throughout their time with us, they demonstrated a passion for patient care, a commitment to learning, and a dedication to the profession of optometry. They have been a valued part of our team, and we are grateful for the opportunity to help support their clinical education and professional growth.

As they move on to the next chapter of their careers, we want to thank them for their hard work, enthusiasm, and the positive impact they have made on our patients and staff.

Travel kept me busy, but I’m excited to share something meaningful.
My new Optometry Times article explores how menopause affects the eyes—from dry eye to contact lens comfort to long‑term ocular health.

This stage of life deserves more conversation, more compassion, and more awareness in eye care.

“Excellence in eye care starts with exceptional doctors. Welcome, Dr. Briana Arbelaez!” 💙

Dr. Arbelaez graduated as the Valedictorian of the Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry Class of 2025 and completed a residency at the Miami VA Medical Center, where she received advanced training in ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, low vision rehabilitation, glaucoma management, retinal disease, corneal conditions, and neuro-ophthalmic disorders.

We are thrilled to have Dr. Arbelaez join our growing team and look forward to introducing her to our patients in Ocoee, Clermont, and the surrounding communities.

When she's not in the clinic, she enjoys reading novels, attending concerts, and spending time with her two cats. 📚🎶🐱

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Dr. Meet Joshi, who officially joins our team tomorrow! 🎉

We are thrilled to have Dr. Joshi on board and know our patients will benefit greatly from his exceptional clinical training, compassionate approach to care, and dedication to excellence.

Originally from Calgary, Canada, Dr. Joshi earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Calgary before receiving his Doctor of Optometry degree from the prestigious New England College of Optometry in Boston. Throughout his training, he earned clinical honors and was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society for outstanding academic achievement.

Dr. Joshi has trained at several renowned institutions, including Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, where he gained extensive experience in ocular disease management, and right here at Coan Eye Care, where he focused on specialty contact lenses and dry eye treatment. He was also recognized with the Alcon Video Case Report Award for his clinical excellence and innovation.

With experience in specialty contact lenses, dry eye care, ocular disease, pediatric eye care, and comprehensive vision care, Dr. Joshi is passionate about providing personalized, patient-centered care to individuals and families of all ages. He is also fluent in English, Gujarati, and Hindi, allowing him to connect with and serve a diverse patient community.

When he's not caring for patients, you'll find him working out, swimming, or enjoying racquet sports.
