We're midway through summer and there's still time to ask: what do you actually want to do before the season ends?

A bucket list doesn't have to be grand. It can be as simple as eating ice cream on a porch, calling an old friend, or finally visiting that garden down the road. The point is to name the things that bring you joy and make them happen.

🌫️ Air Quality Alert for Seniors & Families

The current air quality in our counties have reached unhealthy levels—especially for older adults and anyone with heart or lung conditions.

If you have an older loved one, encourage them to:

🏡 Stay indoors with windows closed.
❄️ Run the A/C on recirculate if possible.
😷 Wear an N95 mask if they need to go outside.
💧 Stay hydrated and monitor for coughing or shortness of breath.

And don’t forget—today is a great day to check in with a senior neighbor, friend, or family member. A quick phone call can go a long way. 💜

Save this post and check these off before you head out the door. ✅

💊 Medications — Pack more than you need, keep them in your carry-on, and bring a doctor's note for any controlled substances.
📋 Medical summary card — Diagnoses, allergies, emergency contacts, and insurance info all in one place.
🦽 Mobility aids — Double-check that everything is packed, charged, or available to rent at your destination.
🛡️ Travel insurance — Make sure your policy covers pre-existing conditions and medical evacuation.
🏥 Know your nearest facility — Look up the closest urgent care or hospital at your destination before you leave.
💧 Hydration plan — Pack a reusable water bottle and set reminders to drink throughout the day.
🗺️ Accessibility check — Research elevator access, rest areas, and walking distances at your destination ahead of time.
