Tonight's Gentle Yoga has been canceled due to the scheduling conflict of this very important meeting.
Please, whether you live in the area or not, help advocate for us to continue with priority ferry boarding at the Hatteras ferry as full time residents of Ocracoke Island.

Not being able to adequately plan for ferry boarding will affect everyone who lives here, but will especially impact those with special needs (ie, doctor's appointments, businesses who need supplies, etc).

Thank you to everyone who help keep this island the special, magical place that it continues to be, whether you live here full time or part of your heart lives here full time.

I'm trying to do the work lately of carrying more compassion in my heart; for myself as well as others, especially those who I find the most challenging. It isn't always easy, but 10 times out of 10 it feeds me more than resentment, hostility, or bitterness.

Sending warm thoughts of compassion to all you out there in the ether. You are worthy of all the love you have received and then some. 💞

Okay, so technically not a "Wellness" post, but I think it can definitely be argued that a huge part of living well is moving through life with love in your heart, embracing community, standing up for marginalized peoples and just generally being a good person. 💞

Dolly Parton embraced all of these elements in one of the most original, sincere, and relatable ways, all while simultaneously becoming a Country Music, songwriting, trail-blazing legend.

She has always been a role model to me not only as a musician, but also as a feminist and believer in the greater good of the human spirit.

We love you, Dolly. Thank you for your mark on this planet and in our hearts.

1) I'm fully booked until the week of 8/24 with an already lengthy waiting list, so definitely check out one of the other amazing therapists on the island if you're looking to book within that time. 🤗
