Today, we join our community in mourning the loss of Lieutenant Isai Huerta of Odessa Fire Rescue.

We honor Lieutenant Huerta's life, service, and legacy, and we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, fellow firefighters, and all who knew and loved him. Firefighters willingly put themselves in harm's way to protect others, and their dedication is something we will never take for granted.

To all of the brave men and women who serve as first responders, thank you for your unwavering commitment to protecting our communities. Your sacrifice and service are deeply respected and appreciated and can never be fully repaid.
